See ya England! That was a fairly dominant performance from the Wallabies other than a bit of a scare in the 2nd. The stupid penalty put a stop to that though. Also, what a performance by Foley putting up 28 points!

He was good, but Hooper, Pocock and my man of the match Fardy.
Fardy was a beast, both in defence and offense. He made the gain line on every carry and his line speed was always on.
An impressive display, he has to be one of the top blindsides in the game.
An to think the Aussies have Gill as well.
I was happy to see Beale, I am a fan of his.

Okay, so it appears that Canada is pretty well screwed, but it doesnt look like they have any hope of coming in 3rd in the group, so what implications does that carry in terms of qualifying for the next Rugby World Cup?

Not much really, we didn't make third last time either. Just means we have to go through the Americas qualifying path again. Our biggest competition in the region are the US and Uruguay. We qualified ahead of both of them last time but they both still made it.
Hopefully we can finish off with a win over Romania!

Really? I thought we did finish in 3rd in our pool last WC....that was 4 years ago and my memory aint what she used to be...
I'll be watching that game, hopefully we tune the hell out of those filthy Romanians!
I presume the Romanians are filthy because, well, its Romania.

I should probably read up on this a little more before I make statements. We qualified by beating the americans in a home and away playoff. The americans then qualified by beating Uruguay in a home and away playoff. Uruguay then qualified through a 4 team repechage tournament with Russia, Zimbabwe, and Hong Kong.
If it's the same format for the next tournament we shouldn't have much trouble getting in.

Crazy question: When will we know?
Because at the moment I'm trying to convince the wife to begin saving for 2019.
I'll have to talk to Slava about it when he gets back.

The US series was in summer 2013, so I guess you'll know for sure as early as summer 2017? Technically we could still make third in the group if we get a bonus point win and then Romania beats Italy with a margin greater than 7.
You might as well plan the trip now!

Go for it Locke! I'm strongly considering going as well. Visiting Japan and seeing the RWC are on my list so it would be great to check them off on the same trip.
As Party Elephant said Canada is pretty much guaranteed to qualify as they should get three shots against the USA, Uruguay or in the repechage.

Looks like Hooper is suspended against Wales.

Well, I have to admit that the 'Drinking Lumberjacks' with axe-flasks is pretty brilliant.
Shine on you crazy diamonds.

Canada gets a yellow card and Romania score a second try.
Would have been nice to have scored that penalty.

So brutal. Glad I didn't go to this one. They had it and let it slip away.

15-0, a missed penalty and Romania storm back with 17 unanswered points.
Gutted for Cudmore, that was probably his last match and to go down like that...

Man, why do they have to play the good game so early in the morning? I mean, having a beer and watching Rugby just go together but 10am makes this an untenable position.
