Donaldson, Bautista and EE have now combined for 254 RBIs
The top 3 players in the AL that aren't Blue Jays have 255 going into tonight's action

Well now I can say it.
Aaron Sanchez;
- 863 fans there to see him from his hometown
- The mayor and chief of police even show up
- Blowout game
- 4 pitchers used
Take a seat Aaron, not putting you in tonight.
I know it probably makes me sound like a sentimental sap and I'm likely overreacting, but that's a pretty tough decision to take. I get that everyone has family/friends at games at various times on the road and you can't manage that way, especially when the games are close.
But to me this was different, it wasn't a few fans it was his mother organizing an incredible gathering of over 800, including the damn mayor, and you're in a blowout.
C'mon, throw him out for an inning. That stings me a little.

It makes sense to save Sanchez, he might be asked to go 2 innings tomorrow. It sucks to disappoint all of the people who went to the game to see him, but his team won and you saved him for tomorrow.

Unfortunately it's a compliment. He's their second best reliever. Can't burn him in a blowout.

The Angels are also a team in the wild card battle, sure if the Jays weren't in a playoff position Sanchez would have come in. But you quite likely could need him tomorrow, and it is a day game so less rest between games. You can't let emotion dictate your decisions when so much is on the line.
And I am sure the 800 plus people that made the trip had a great time, and sure they are disappointed they didn't get to see him pitch. However, I am sure they'd accept watching him pitch in the playoffs in person or on TV.

Not that I disagree, but that's just being greedy at this point.
