welcome to the Champions League, where you can break a guy's leg and still be "man of the match" ...
Quote:
Moreno, who was not cautioned or dismissed by Rizzoli for the first‑half challenge, ended the 2-1 Champions League victory against United having been nominated as man of the match by Uefa – a decision which left United staff “stunned and dismayed” by the apparent insensitivity of the award, voted for by Uefa’s match reporting team.
fantastic goal by Müller. He said it was an accident and that he wanted to cross, but hey, what a great accident that was
that Florenzi goal was great too, but that's completely on ter Stegen and his positioning. Once again he channels his inner Neuer and goes wandering, it's bound to fail sometimes ...
Englands team have to be careful ... they could easily lose their 4th CL berth to Italy if they continue like that
it's gonna happen a lot more than easily
German/Italy/England are all basically tied now (because 15/16 will replace 11/12)
So the two whom do better will keep the 4th spots
The coefficient gets divided by the number of teams in Europe too, so West Ham and Southampton failing really hurts England since its going to divide by 8 instead of the normal 6 or 7
including CL and Europa I think it's going to end up taking at least 3 English teams making the QF for us to keep the 4 spots

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has defended PSV Eindhoven's Hector Moreno for breaking Luke Shaw's leg by saying the defender produced "a brilliant challenge."
But while Shaw suffered a double fracture and could be out for six to nine months, Keane, who captained United from 1997 to 2005, insisted Moreno did nothing wrong.
"I thought it was a brilliant challenge," he is quoted by the Daily Mail as telling ITV. "I love the physical side of the game.
"You can always tell by player reactions and none of the United lads at the time -- and players are the best judges because they are nearest the tackle -- reacted over the top thinking it was a bad challenge.
