Watched a streamed mission today. Wow this thing looks ugly. The art direction is amazing, but was really hoping to be impressed by current gen. It can't be just me on this one?

No it's not just you, it's by far and large the animations. Something about their engine really makes the animations janky and floaty, nothing really has any substance or impact. I can handle low resolutions, bad textures and whatnot but the animations are core gameplay and it really effects the experience. I was hoping the pc version would have some new special settings but nope, they need to do motion capture or start doing it because it just looks bad.

Little tip for anyone like myself who just wants to play the game, if you preorder a digital copy it predownloads and is released at 9pm Monday night. I usually prefer hard copies but I just can't wait so if I can get a three hour head start I'm all for it.

Fallout is one game I would consider a digital copy for, since I'll never get rid of it.

If I didn't already get the Pip Boy Edition, I probably would have ordered it digitally.

I'm going hard copy. I've got a $30 dollar gift cert to put towards it at Wally World. I also like hard copies for some reason. Adds to the library. I can hand it off to a friend when I'm done.

One more week!

Can't wait - trying not to look at anything. I did watch a bit of the leaked fight in the super mutant building, and it looked great.

Should have got a hard copy then

Can't speak for everywhere, as I've only pre-ordered from BB/FS, but I've usually got the game in the mail the day before the store launch (12 hours prior to any midnight launches). I was playing NHL 16 before you could download it.

This. I bet my Amazon preorder will be at my house on Monday at noon. Every game I've received from Amazon so far has been a day early.

Amazon just emailed me to let me know that my Pip Boy Edition will be shipping soon and is eligible for release day shipping.

I've done that too but I'm living in two different places at the moment so I didn't know where to send it. Won't be home until 8pm Monday night anyway so it wouldn't make a difference anyways.

God I can't wait for this game.

I wouldn't say it looked ugly but it's not going to win any graphics awards that's for sure.

It's not a spoiler related to Fallout 4, it's just a big picture. I promise.

Spoiler!

I'll never understand trailers with spoilers. Even tiny ones. Definitely not watching that. And if I see it on TV I'll be pissed.
