The last time I was in there, I had to listen to this obese old man complaining about his neighbours kid with this giant booming voice. "HE MASTURBATES ALL THE TIME, THAT'S THE PROBLEM, ALL THE MASTURBATION! GET THAT KID BAPTIZED IT ISN'T PURE!!!"

I really wanted to go stand on his oxygen hose for a minute or two.
I would be more concerned with why he was looking into his neighbours window and watching the kid masterbate.

Because the supply chain in the U.S. - from the servers and cleaners to the people working in the meat plants and picking the lettuce - is staffed by people who earn $7 an hour, half of them illegal immigrants. Things are dirt cheap in the U.S. because labour is dirt cheap.

Yeah, the McD's on 8th and 7th is a complete wasteland most days. I love the coffee and work a mere 2 blocks away, but never go there because of the clientele. I was there about a month ago and some wasted dude spilled his coffee all over me. Awesome.

Lol, an old colleague of mine is a district manager with Starbucks. She hates Starbucks coffee and loves McDonalds coffee.

McDonalds was smart, they found one really awesome blend, and just stuck with it. They didn't do a bunch of foofoo other blends. I'll take McDonalds coffee over Tims 10/10.

I think you are in vast minority if you don't like their coffee. I even know coffee snobs who like their coffee.

The only thing I don't like about McD's coffee is that I have to use more sweetener in it than Tims to get the sweetness level that I like. I'll pick Tims over McD's any day of the week and twice on Sunday, but McD's coffee is just fine.

McDonalds coffee is good. In fact it's no coincidence that Tim Horton's dark roast tastes suspiciously similar. That said it like Tim Horton's coffee is easy to drink for the average person who can't handle the highly concentrated taste of the designer coffees like Starbucks.

Kind of curious as to what kind of coffee you do enjoy then.

I enjoy good, strong coffee. I was excited when McDonalds announced they were getting more serious with their coffee, as I knew it'd be well priced and fast. Too bad it wasn't any good. And I've gone back probably a handful of times to see if it's improved, but no such luck.

At the risk of getting all the "lol enjoy your $5 dollar coffee" comments, I enjoy: Cucina's, Fratello's, P&S's, and the like.

Obviously not everyone will like it, I'm incredibly picky with coffee and find their coffee quite amazing. You might be the only person I've ever seen/heard say that it's no good so that's a good success rate.

I can assure you I'm not the only one.

Don't worry, I'm perfectly content in being the minority. I only drink one coffee a day, otherwise I get jittery, so I like that one coffee to be of good taste and quality. Maybe if I drank 4-5 cups a day I might settle for something else.

What's your favorite? Asking because I always enjoy trying new kinds. I'm not worried, it would be weird if everyone liked the exact same things.

I like McDonalds. I don't care what anyone says, sometimes it just hits the spot. Their coffee has been mentioned many times, but I agree it is very good. Also love their breakfast,, much tastier than Tim's and also half as busy in the mornings.

Such a simple joy to sit back and enjoy a double big mac w/ no pickles

Obviously that stuff is better in terms of quality, but I think for a cheap option, McDonalds is a pretty good step from the sugary dish-water you get at Tim Hortons. Considering the really good stuff (my favourite in Calgary is Analog) is 3x4 times more expensive, I'm not sure you can necessarily compare. Though I do agree that if you're only going to have coffee on a rare occasion, might as well go with a more quality option.

The McDonalds coupons came in the mail today!

I raided the junk mail bin in the lobby, and have 20 chances for 2 for one McMuffins, and 2 can dine for $6.99 breakfast. Thats 40 delicious breakfasts to enjoy.
