Given how utterly useless Raymond was against the Kings last night, I give those minutes to pretty much anyone else at this point. I'm not sure why Raymond can't seem to put together a complete shift, but I'm tired of waiting for him to figure his #### out.

Come on, I rag on Raymond regularly but last night was a strong game by him. He was engaged, skating hard and the play didn't die on his stick (too often). No real complaints about him last night.

Did everyone's brain turn off when Raymond set up the GWG? "NO THAT WASNT RAYMOND. RAYMOND ONLY DOES USELESS THINGS"

Raymond is the x-factor in this series IMO. If he goes on one of his sprees where he can't miss for a few games, the Flames should win it.

Maybe we saw different Raymonds. Last night I counted one shift where he intercepted a pass in the Kings' zone and then promptly turned it over only to have Colborne regain possession to setup Stajan. Aside from that it was the usual turnover after turnover from Raymond. I really wouldn't mind the fact that he refuses to even make incidental contact if his stick work was half as good as most of the rest of the team last night.
I shouldn't rag on the guy after such an important win, but he drove me nuts last night while the rest of the roster (including Bolig) put together a defensive clinic.

I hate to rag on whipping boys too, but I thought Bollig was a lot better than Raymond as well...

I agree he should be auditioned and that he's probably an upgrade on Potter. Just seemed a few people were assuming Diaz wouldn't be in when playoffs started and I wondered if there was more info than he was day-to-day. It wouldn't surprise me if Wotherspoon ends up being an upgrade on both Diaz and Potter. About time he got a chance.

Who is our next black ace (to be called up later) after Wotherspoon?

Watch the 2nd goal again. Good sense to skate wide and open up the slot, good vision to spot Hudler racing off the bench, good passing to give Jiri an excellently weighted drop pass.
He had an average game last night and he has been pretty poor since his return from injury, but it would be massively unfair to deny him an opportunity to play in the next 5 or more games.

On Potter, I don't know what he did to get benched. What little I saw of him he looked fine -- threw a couple solid checks and didn't make any glaring mistakes. Hope he gets at least 15 mins against the Jets to see how he does.

Cundari I would imagine. Is Culkin healthy? After that, Ramage.

I was confused by Raymond's plays. There were quite a few where it looked like he skated deep into the opposing zone on his own only to lose it/give away... but then he'd skate to the bench and then I would wonder if it was a dump for a change and he just carries it longer than the other players for like 30 feet.
Other than those though, I agree, Raymond had a reasonably good night.

Hope you're right. If any opponent can get a complete game out of Raymond it is the Canucks.

It's ridiculous to think that we made the playoffs and we still have a blue chip prospect waiting in the wings. Best of both worlds this spring, post-season and a lottery pick.
