I was all for Bennett against Edmonton or Arizona. Not so sure about LA though. Sutter (Kopitar, Doughty, Carter Gaborik) would be licking their lips to show the kid up. I guess am OK with a vet filling bottom line minutes
The talk of Bennett being a liability is pretty ridiculous IMO.
1) his hockey IQ is extremely high
2) his energy level will make u for a lot
3) Hartley would shelter him
4) he almost certainly gets slotted onto the wing where the defensive assignments can be handled by anyone this side of Baertschi
Well then... Conroy, Treliving and Hartley must be pretty ridiculous then

Now, lets say were down by a goal in the dying minutes. Are you going to throw Drew freaking Shore out there? No. But you can guarantee that Bennett would be playing and there is a damn good chance he could be the difference.
That's my $0.02 and why I think sitting Bennett is a stupid decision and has been this whole time.
Even if Bennett were in the lineup, he might not necessarily be out there in the dying minute of the game. I can recall a few games early on in the season, our 2nd PP unit and at least 2x when we were down by a goal with a minute left in the game, Johnny was sitting on the bench... history shows that Hartley would probably end up throwing out Colborne (who had a great game last night) or Raymond out there, and not the new rookie.

That statement alone means we're not going to agree.
He missed or skated by the puck in the corners countless times. I know this because my friends all laugh at how much I hate Colborne and I'd rant every time he screwed up. Which was all the time.

Your last two sentences explain your first two sentences. Colborne was absolutely flying last night. Often the most noticeable Flame. Hasn't played like that every game this year for sure, but last night it was a treat to have him on our team.

What an odd thing to say. So what you were tasked with keeping this huge secret? I'm sure twitter won't quote you.
Hartley and the gang haven't disclosed Bouma's injury, so I don't feel right telling everyone on here. Just wanted to say that he's probably not playing anytime soon.

I can understand that. Do you work in some sort of capacity where you on occasion run into these guys? Or just a random one time run in? If it's the latter, I don't see why you can't drop a hint or maybe let us know Bouma's mannerisms (grimacing, limping, hardware not called skates/stick or helmet etc.)?
Many of us are just worried is all.
Totally understand if you don't feel comfortable sharing, but you can't fault us for trying?

I was starting to wonder if I was the only one that thought this... I don't think he was one of our 3 stars but I thought he might have been one of our best players last night. (Nothing against our top line, I pretty much expect superstar performances from them these days )

It was a random sighting. He was with Monahan.
The injury is upper body. In a place no one expected. I believe people were guessing ribs.
