Looks like my prediction in the Edm is NG thread is right on the money. They're gonna lose so bad the league will award LA three points!

The Oilers have Tyler Bunz dressed as their backup tonight (I'm not sure what happened to Bachman, or why they didn't call up Brossoit), so Scrivens might have to ride this one out.

Not only has Bunz not played in an NHL game, he only has 6 AHL games under his belt.

I know it's Edmonton, but I really don't like this "flip the switch" vibe from the Kings.

Yep. You can bet tonights suspicious non-effort Oilers team won't show up for the Flames as it's their Stanley Cup. That said their best isn't good enough to beat the Flames as long as the Flames don't take them lightly.

You gotta hand it to Chicago. They're really trying to help us. Wins against LA, Winnipeg and now Vancouver.

Scrivens might need therapy by the time this one's done...

New strategy -- hope LA scores 17 goals tonight, causing them to be cocky and overconfident when playing out the rest of the schedule...

Bad for the rest of the conference if they get their game together and Kane back for the playoffs. West is wide open and they can easily make some noise given the Blues and Preds are pretenders and the Ducks have yet to exercise their playoff demons. Wild look like the team that could get in their way.

Van is still 4 points up and even in games with the tie breaker on their side, so really a 5 point gap to overtake in 4 remaining games. Pretty unlikely.

The Oilers will play much better for the aforementioned reasons, but if the Flames play hard they should prevail because I think the effort the Oilers will put in to it trying to make a statement might backfire on them.

Since their next two games are Winnipeg and LA, it's for the best if they can pick up a couple of wins now.

Yep the Wild and Canucks are pretty well in the playoffs and it's just a matter of getting a win or two OTL's in the remainder of their schedules.

Well, the Oilers have the non-religious Easter thing going on at least, right on time; Laying an egg tonight and have (Hot Cross) Bunz on the roster.

Yep although that means we are hoping for help from the Canucks. They aren't Oilers bad but you never know.

Meanwhile, Sportsnet says the Kings, Flames and Jets only have three games each left. During the Flames game, they talked about the possible importance of that last game against the Jets.

The Oilers are probably going to beat us in our last game against us to screw us.

As unlikely it is that they win a game, I could see it being against us.
