It likely means they're hurting, but not enough to be put on the IR, and could play if needed, but there are 12 healthier forwards available right now, so they can rest until they're 100%.

Interesting piece on Murray, can he be worse than Schlemmy? I mean besides the shootout goal he has looked like a D man that deserved to be waiver material.

Murray would be solid in a hanging back absolute shut down role. Would be a full on liability on transition. I feel like even with his weight loss he's not fast enough right now to not be a liability on this mobile team.
Schlemko to me ha been solid. Not a nightmare at all. took a wall to the face to save a goal today.

Schlemko vs. Murray
Pros: Much faster, better skill, much better skater, better offensive output.
Cons: Less experience, poorer decision making, not a giant.

Based on his history of tweeting about guys he thinks will and won't sign contracts with the Flames, I'd say he doesn't have inside information.
It's likely just that he was interviewing Murray, so it's not like he's going to say, "I don't think there's any chance you get a contract."
