I've never done that with a Flame player before.
I doubt I'm the only fan that does that either.

I used to do that with Theo back in the day... And then Iggy in '04 too. It's been awhile since we had such a dynamic forward.
He's making a huge push for that Calder & the Flames are making a huge push for the Post-season as well. Thank heaven for Gaudreau.

This is what Johnny does when people start to doubt him.
"Two horse race between Ekblad and Forsberg" ....yada yada yada
Johnny answers with 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points during a 6 game point streak..........and counting.

He it's producing in the later part of the season. It's suppose to be getting harder for rookies at this time.

Producing late in the season when the pressure is on to win games really helps his case. I had Ekblad winning earlier this year but if Johhny can continue his great play in the final games I think he can win it!

Johnny has 34 points with 14 games to go. If he reaches 40 assists for the season, it would be the first time a rookie has hit that total since Backstrom and Kane did it in the 07-08 season.

One benefit Gaudreau has is that there is. Lot offlash to his game. With as much Eastern based media as there is, it will help him get noticed because he has been in high light reels. The guys voting won't just see his stats, they will remember some of these plays.

I did actually think during the slump, he was getting hit a little bit more and didn't seem as evasive... but now he's back to his shifty self....

Playing in Boston College helps his cause also with the media exposure he got.

I love how johnny is always in unconventional spots on the ice. For instance he likes to stop above the circle and make plays from there where he doesn't have a great shot but a lot of great options. Its noticeable how often he avoids the popular areas (your typical scoring areas and board play). Just an incredibly high hockey IQ and it takes the entire team defense by surprise and causes them to abandon their system.

Johnny's wall / slump was back a few weeks ago when he had something like a meager 6 pts in 9 games.
Things are looking bright for the flames

Every game Johnny tries the bad angle short side wrister over the goalies shoulder. It worked once against Nashville. I haven't seen it work since. But I love that he tries it every single game.

The kids and huds are really great! But Johnny is something special.
He's got my vote based on pure creativity.
How he still isn't in NHL 15 Hut is beyond me. Figured they would have sorted licensing by now.

It makes me cringe every time I read 'something special'. We heard this hundreds and hundreds of times about the Oilers, so I always equate it to hype. Something special has Oiler stink all over it.
It would be excellent to use a different phrase to describe a player as special as Gaudreau indeed is.
