Not only have the #Flames scored the most third period goals in the NHL (62), but equally impressive is they've given up the fewest (32).

Byron: "You get so many breakaways and great chances to score and you just get a flukely goal where you’re just standing in the right place"

At some point in the future, Sean Monahan will wear the "C" and Lance Bouma the "A."
Book it.
Or Brodie or Bennett or Backlund or Coborne or Gaudreau etc etc....such a tight group. Love this team.
At this point I don't think it matters who wears the letters on this team, everyone plays for each other. Credit to Gio and the coaching staff for building this culture.

I'll still put my money on Monahan for the C some day. The guy just oozes Captain. I wouldn't bee shocked if he is wearing an A by the end of next season.
Its nice to see Byron and Raymond have good games, more so the 3rd period. I was ragging on Raymond (to the wife) and said 'now hopefully he shuts me up and scores a goal'. Wideman did that after his lengthy drought when I ragged on him a bit. Mostly in jest and not too serious but it was sure cool to be 'shutup' in that, and this, instance. As for Byron, he brings more than scoring, but so frustrating with the fruitless breakaways. I do really like what he brings tho. If he was a big man......

It was after the Subway super series in Victoria and I wanted to say he had a great game. I tried to buy him a drink ( at a local pub) He saw my Flames hat said something in Russian to his buddy and hit the hat off my head. I was shocked walked away and said " Enjoy playing on a AHL team". I get they like privacy but I was trying to be a nice guy.
Edit: I met lots of Flames players when I worked at The Living Room in Calgary and none had ever come off like that. I'd offer them a drink and they would refuse and end of offering me a drink instead. Polar opposite in my experiences.

so many greaser fans in the third deck, loved seeing the shameful stream of dejected oil fans leave with 4 minutes left.
and after it was all locked up huh?...
Liked how wolf played tonight. He could bring a great element to the third/fourth line. And he sounds so much like Wolfcastle from the Simpsons in parts of his interviews. Looks like him too...

Yakupov knocked the hat off your head? He actually did that?
