I remember Fleury taunting the other bench after a goal. I thought is was a crap move at the time even though I was a huge fan. Then the other team scored a bunch, won the game and referenced Fleury's taunt after the game.

There's a difference from run of the mill games and rival games. Doesn't get much bigger for these guys than scoring in tournaments like this so emotion and adrenaline kicks in

After riling up the Ottawa Senators (and Don Cherry) with his jersey pulling goal celebration after an overtime win earlier in the week, the Montreal Canadiens defenceman drew the ire of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night for taunting their bench after the Habs tying goal in the first period.

He looked particularly bad on that one play, with his lack of decisiveness at his own blue line. Ended up turning the puck over and the Russians got a really good chance.

When your happy emotion after scoring a goal is to head for the other team's bench and taunt them instead of celebrating with your teammates, it doesn't say much for your emotional state.

He's having a particularly hard time with the bigger Russian forwards. We'll see how quickly Groulx shortens the bench.

The last thing i'll say about the taunting. I'm watching the game with my young boys. I didn't tell them it was okay for them to celebrate like that Russian. I told them to continue as they've always done, put their hands in the air and hug their line mates. Don't slide by the opposing team's bench and fist pump them. They're young but it was pretty clear to them what was the classy, Canadian way to behave.

All I know is I don't like it when the Flames taunt other players. It's disrespectful and really just gives the team more motivation.

Great pass but terrible line change. That was too easy...far too much space

Poor kid. He's going to go from a chorus of cheers to a chorus of boos next year in Edmonton.

Even if the Olers finish last they only have a 20% chance of winning the lottery. They will likely get Eichel.
