Because I don't think Russell is a number 3 d-man and he continues to make bad plays?

Bad communication between Ramo and Russell there.
Russell in particular has really struggled with the puck recently. Looks tentative and nervous.

Problem Hartley is facing is that as terrible as these guys are playing if you cut back their ice time then Engelland and Diaz will play more.

He's right, Russell should have dumped it in the corner. Didn't make any sense.

Can we at least get some violence or hitting or something? They are just playing like wimps.

I feel like that was a decent period. How are we down 2-0?
In poker, we call this "running bad".
Definitely some positives, but it sure sucks to be down two there. Second goal is totally on Russell. That was an awful play.

Not the effort I was hoping to see from a team that had lost 5 in a row.
They better come out fast and strong in the 2nd or this one is over.

Flames get 4 scoring chances while shorthanded, Rangers score on a non-scoring chance. Oh good.

Don't know why people are saying bad luck after a poor 2nd goal to give up.

Its time for Hartley to earn an extension. Teams have a book on the Flames. He needs to figure his #### out.

Bob is gonna rip these guys a new one in the locker room. The Flames are successful when they skate and use their speed and play an aggressive forecheck. When they stop doing that, they lose. They're playing way too tentative right now, and it's killing their confidence.

Brodie needs to pull his head out of his ass. First he puck watches for the first instead of covering for his partner, then he coughs up the puck to Fast and he almost scores. He had a good game in Chicago, but other than that, he's been pretty bad recently. Like, Oilers level bad.
As for Russell, puck is sitting there, when on earth do you try and shepherd it back to the goalie?! Just launch it away man! Sorry, but you can criticise Hartley for some things, but the reason we are losing in this game is more down to awful peewee level mistakes by players that should do better and can do better. They just aren't.

We were definitely on a "rush" for a while before this losing streak, scoring late goals to tie games.

A little bit of both. Russell would have just shoot the puck on the side. It was an unfortunate situation the puck was bouncing a bit. It was a communication problem between the defenseman and a goalie. Ramo also should have drop down on the puck. Two lucky bounces on the Rangers. It sucks because the Flames will have to play catch up again.

Because of how you present your "points" with childish passive aggressive comments. Honestly, I'm done with this conversation, probably shouldn't have begun it in the first place, as you're more than likely too thick headed to ever comprehend.

They started off fine, but after the Rangers first goal they definitely fell back and looked nervous.
Not a confident team right now.
