Just have to bury more chances and have more luck on shots. We had a week where everything Wideman launched was hitting the back of the net.

A lot of recalibration taking place because of the new old faces returning, might take a few more losses to get a synergy back.

Maybe this will quiet those who said all these guys returning would be nothing but great.

Probably not a popular opinion, but I wouldn't mind seeing Bouma scratched maybe even next game. Why? His defensive coverage has been rather weak for the last 3 or 4 games. I mean, seriously, what was he doing on the Sabres 2nd goal?

Man a 3 game losing streak sucks. Really makes you appreciate that the oilers have lost 13 games out of 14.

Your signature in conjunction with your post did wonders to cheer me up.

Lots of comments like this around. Brodie had the puck and a borderline cross check or hit from behind, not quite a penalty I guess, but not a repeatable play. Same with the puck off of Moulson's skate.

Look, goals happen, bounces happen. Puck luck happens.

Sure you create your luck to some extent. But the team is in a rough patch - the Marleau goal was a Gio tip knocked down out then batted out of mid air. Puck off the skate against the Leafs and again tonight. Really 3 one goal games in a row and not in an alarming way where the team laid an egg

Last year being competitive was good enough. This year there is actually an expectation to win. I like it

Some times you can do almost everything right and still find a way to screw it up. This was one of those days. It happens. It sucks and is frustrating when it happens, but 99 times out of 100 we win this game. Tonight was an exception.

How the heck did Moulson's goal for the 4th against even count? What a joke.

you can direct it in as long as you don't kick your foot forward like how Gaudreau scored in Anaheim. They changed the rule. Last year that goal wouldn't have counted.

You're allowed to direct the puck in now. Distinct kicking motion must be Distinct

From the review it looks like it might have hit his stick before going in.

The Flames were playing like this before, probably even worse they were just getting the breaks and now they're not

Last 3 games could have been wins just as easily

Boy, this forum is absolutely hateful to anyone who has an alternative opinion to the masses. (Polak, etc,,). Pretty sad, show some respect.
Granlund looked great tonight I thought. A bit concerning is the play of Brodie, a few games now of real sloppy D. Cant have that when your playing against the other teams best.

I think the reason so many are bothered by a few very vocally upset posters at this game, are simply frustrated that people are so quick to be ready to jump all over the team.

We've had a really fun run so far, WAY beyond expectation, and it was inevitable we would stumble. Adversity is going to happen and is good for the young guys to grow and learn from.

This team is still leaps and bounds more fun to watch than what I've seen in nearly a decade of hockey, speed, skill, youth, 2 solid goalies, amazing offensive D (reminds me of the Suter/McInnis era)

I think you guys flipping out need to just learn to take this all with a grain of salt, not be such drama queens over a loss. This is not going to be a smooth ride, no team plays perfect 82 games, we knew this type of streak was coming, lets just hope it goes no further than 3.

This! Everyone should be aware that every team has rough patches every season. That is just how it is. They played a pretty good game tonight, scored three goals on the road and ended up with a bunch of defensive lapses, poor goaltending and some unfortunate bounces. It happens. It will happen several more times this season, and every season until the end of time. There is progression in their game, and it's gonna be fine.

Would be good to get back to winning against the Penguins though.

There might be some real misspelling going on right there. Anyway, it sucks that Byron has such a rough time finding the net. Don't think he's the one who should sit though as long as Bollig is in the lineup. I honestly can't figure out why on earth Hartley would scratch Stajan and put in Bollig.
