Kypreos has gone through a lot and survived a decent hockey career. Remember he was a hotshot goal scorer in junior.

He's also worked very hard as a broadcaster. We may not agree with him all the time but over the years he's worked very hard on his craft. He doesn't just spew out information like some others do.

Good stuff with Kypreos there, and Hartley before. Loss of After Hours as a formal segment is too bad but if they fill it with stuff like this, perfect.

TSN,based on how they treated games as almost a lead in to Sportscentre, would be on the second showing of Leaf highlights by now or some phony announcer banter, and you'd never hear some of this extended story stuff.

Good 60 minutes by the Flames again. Aside from the obvious standouts (Gaudreau, Hudler, Ramo, Brodie, etc) I thought Ferland and Baertschi both had good games. Ferland played a very physical game tonight, and looked very strong. Baertschi seemed to take control in the o-zone a bit more and use his body well. He even shielded the puck and made a couple of cuts to the net. Hopefully the points start coming soon for him as I think his play has improved quite a bit. Oh and Granlund with another solid game...a couple of questionable passes in his own end but overall very dangerous.

Mike Johnson is 6'2" and he was saying when he met Ramo there's no way Ramo is 6'2". So they were joking about it.

And it's also an opportunity to make fun of Romanuk cause he's really short.

Flames sit in sole possession of 9th place in the NHL, 5th in the West.

Flames are 6th in the NHL in goal differential at +14.

Flames lead the NHL in 3rd period goals (35) and 3rd period goal differential (+21).

Giordano, 6 goals and 25 points, is 1st in the NHL in scoring by a defenseman and Brodie, 6 goals and 21 points, is 2nd. Gaudreau, 4 goals and 17 points, is 2nd in rookie scoring. Hudler is 14th overall in the NHL in scoring with 11 goals and 23 points.

This team is so much damn fun!

I could see a Tampa Bay-Calgary final years from now. They're a great team too.

Not sure I want Colborne and Raymond back. God bless them, but I don't want to mess up this chemistry.
Those guys will be raring to go and will be well rested. The callups have been amazing, but having these guys back will be great. Raymond and Colborne in particular were playig very well before they were injured (and both are FAST).

I find his personality grating but no one can question what a hard worker Kypreos is. Wasn't drafted and worked hard to carve out an NHL career. That was cut short by the time of game he had to play and has been tireless as a broadcaster, most days are like trade deadlines for him, he's always available for sportsnet.

The panel of Friendman, Hrudey and him are really starting to gel. Kelly and Elliot's calm demeanor really bring Nick down from feeling he has to be too animated.

Still not a huge fan of his but he's certainly tolerable for the most part this season.

The game was on national TV. I imagine the Oilers fans that watched are feeling pretty disgusted now.

Anyone else superstitious that got pissed off at the numerous amount of shutout talk from the commentators during the game.

And they could really use Colborne's size...something that has been missing at times.

This is great post-game show. Maybe it's the red chairs.

Could listen to this for hours.

nah, that stuff doesn't matter. I would rather hear Ramo praise than announcers not saying anything nice about the Flames.

And it was a shutout so it didn't work.

My investment banker is a huge Oilers fan. He told me the other day he's fed up with Klowne and company and has switched to the Flames.
