I know this sounds like "internet hero" but I want to go to their next court appearance and if he even attempts to touch a female reporter I will beat the living day lights out of him.

What a scumbag.

Bring on the tough guy memes...

Not so much the tough guy memes, more so it wouldn't be worth it for you to get charged over something like that.

Details of this aside I for one can't stand it when reporters go chasing after people sticking cameras and microphones in peoples faces.
You know the guy has a bad history, you know he's likely wound up due to the what's going on and you want to chase him down and get into his personal space? What did you think he was going to do??

Reporters are always pieces of **** when people are accused. They always get in people's faces and subtly (sometimes not subtly) antagonize them to get a reaction.

The guy's a piece of ****, the reporters are always antagonizing to accused and family of accused outside court houses. Everyone sucks in that situation, imo.

There is a lot going on in this situation. That father certainly looks and is acting like a DB, and he just learned that his offspring are DBs. The stress from all of this must be huge. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't take much for a reporter to get any particular negative reaction from him.

We as a nation really need to focus on these parts of society (all races) in a positive way to prevent these horrible actions from happening. It's obvious that there have been a huge lack of positive role models in this family and there are others in this city and country who are in need of a program that can seriously help them. There is a massive shift of violence towards the accused and my emotions lean the same way, but it will do little for the poor girl who suffered. It would be great to create something spectacular out of this which will show her and the world the true unity and supportive nature we can create. Canada has a long way to go with support when it comes to the people who are poor, depressed, and suffer from such low self esteem.

I think back to the "bad" kids growing up and you look at them differently then you did back then. They were children from alcoholics, the poor and deeply troubled people. We know who they are as they go through school and it wouldn't be too hard to target those that require the extra love and care.

Anyway, this may not be the right thread to discuss this, but I can never see the good in negative reinforcement. *oops, it's a double negative!

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgar...ault-1.3278262

Two Calgary brothers have admitted to kidnapping and repeatedly raping a 17-year-old girl.
The pair threatened to kill her if she didn't do as they ordered and marched her to their home in the neighbouring community of Martindale.

The brothers' father and a friend were in the home, as well as Corey's baby and the child's mother.

The sexual assaults continued overnight in different rooms of the home.

Around 8 a.m the next morning, the girl was able to escape while others in the home were sleeping.

She took a bus and C-train home where she broke down at the front door, telling her mother what had happened.

The victim and her mother went to the police station and gave a statement to police. She was then able to guide officers to the two locations where the assaults took place.

Both brothers have criminal histories. Their lawyers have said they expect lengthy sentences.
