Found this old video clip of Jooris at Union College ("Cribs Edition"): http://www.ncaa.com/video/icehockey-...s-crib-edition
Not as entertaining as Monahan/Bouma, but thought it was worth sharing. Apparently he is a big fan of Nutella and his nickname was "Baby Rhino"...

Just thought I would post this fact:
Jonathan Drouin: GP-29 G-2 A-12 P-14
Josh Jooris: GP-29 G-9 A-5 P-14

He was also undrafted. Compare that to a player who was a #3 pick overall in his draft year, it says something about the quality of the player. Yes, Jooris is 24 and Drouin is 19, but think about how you thought each player was going to perform this year and then get back to me.

I much prefer the comparison to Gaudreau (who has more than twice as many points now), because they are far more similar players and are close in age.
But also hilariously awesome to see.
I love Jooris' game. He always looks like he knows what he's doing out there. Responsible, and can keep up with Gaudreau and Hudler just fine, which is pretty impressive. Oh, and hustles like mad.

Jooris reminds me of Ronnie Stern. 20 goal guy with some jam.

Must be pretty surreal for this guy. Went from being what looked like a career 3rd line AHLer to a regular in the NHL who is now on pace for 20+ goals. And in a contract year I believe. Talk about a huge change in life in a short time. Happy for him for sure... He deserves it.

I'm just glad that finally we have some young players exceeding expectations and seizing the opportunity. It felt like a decade of zero good prospects and young players.

Well yeah, no one expected Jooris to do what he's doing this season, or any season for that matter. Don't know why you got snarky.

I can't believe this kid. 3 GWGs so far in 29 NHL games. He's been unbelievably clutch.
He keeps exceeding expectations even as they grow. Such a meteoric rise for a non-drafted college free agent.

Base on Treliving previous contract's to RFAs (Bouma, Byron) I would suspect Jooris gets a one year deal to see if he can repeat his success he had this year before going with a longer term deal.

Can't take the kid out of the lineup. How does Raymond get back in? Byron? Jones?

Ron Stern had a career high of 13 goals, and reached or surpassed the 10 goal plateau 3 times in 10 seasons.

Ron Stern also racked up 338pm in a season. And was the Flames fastest skater at a skills competition once as well.
But he is not a good comparible to Jooris.

I was thinking more like a Shean Donovan.
