You have one of the most dangerous jobs, and I appreciate everything firefighters do.
But let's pretend for a minute that the picture of the dead (or knocked out) firefighter didn't come out before that awful promo video. Would you have been as offended?
To me, the picture coming out before the video provided no context and was quite offensive. That wasn't Adirondack's fault. That was on the local beat writer for tweeting those pictures. And even then, who wouldn't have?
It's a matter of context versus no context. The unveiling video of Scorch is as innocent as they come and shouldn't be found offensive.

Did they not figure some people might be upset that the mascot is being shown off standing over what appears to be a burned to death fire fighter? too funny. ive been laughing so hard my face hurts.
