My concern: I'm going to use that account from Canada, but every time I go to the GameCenter site, it kicks me over to Rogers, where I have to sign in using a MyRogers account. This is just getting ridiculously stupid.
Word of caution, NHL Gamecentre renews with the credit card on file every year in the US. Every September there's lots of noise from folks who got an unexpected hit on their credit card because it auto renewed.

I have now become completely unable to watch live games on the NHL app with my nexus 9 tablet. Incredibly frustrating. Anyone else having problems with various phones or tablets?

Hey guys sorry for the bump - just had a question

Will gamecentre be playing the Calgary Vancouver game even though it's nationally televised?

Yes. I used it to watch the game on Wednesday. Gamecentre has the added advantage of including the NBC feed, so you can take a break from CBC/Sportsnet if you feel so inclined.

Is there a way to look up the market or out of market zone for Flames games? I'll be in camp for work in the Fort Mcmurray area and I'm curious if I'll be able to stream via Gamecentre.

You should definitely be able to watch every NHL game including all Flames games via Gamecentre Live.

Grease home games *might* be subject to regional blackouts. Which may be considered a benefit

I paid $201 all-in this year, in Vancouver. Because I am a local Sportsnet subscriber (cable), Canucks home games are not subject to blackout for me. Mostly I have GCL to watch the Flames and some US teams, and it's basically flawless. And portable: I can use my subscription anywhere. Maybe not North Korea.

I've live in BC and do not have cable TV, just internet through shaw and last year my online subscription with Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE I was able to watch all Flames games including the ones vs Canucks. Also all playoff games.

I renewed this year for $201 (taxes included) so hoping nothing has changed.

As far as I know anywhere in Alberta would be in the Flames territory and subject to blackouts. Last season I heard Rogers gamecentre didn't black out any games but I haven't heard about this season. If you have access to a TV, you should be able to get all the Flames games on your TV.

This is one of the nice side effects on using UnblockUs for netflix... NGC has no idea where i am, so no blackouts.

Yeah me too. Was there not some court case that resulted in users supposed to get it for $20 less?

I think that was in the US only, maybe someone in Canada can confirm, but i don't think it effected us in the UK because the rights are owned by one channel which covers the whole of the UK, something like that.

I'm going to be getting GC this year since I'm cancelling all of my cable and strictly streaming everything. So I know that Flames games will be blacked out here. But what about the opposing teams broadcast. Are those blacked out as well? Is it every Flames game, regardless of where they play?

Last year I did this and watched all flames games regardless of my cable status.

If it's the same as last year there will be no blackouts of flames games, even locally.

Good to know. Hopefully that's the case, but GC seems to make a big deal out of blackouts but never seems to enforce it? Either way, I'm looking forward to having it.

After rogers took it over it got infinitely better blackout wise.

So I'm very hopeful.

The only blackouts I got were while in the US and the game was on tv. So that was very vintage GC and completely frustrating. If you're in calgary and it's like last year, you're golden.

Ps. You can log in to the feed on the same GC account from multiple IPs at the same time. My brother and I split GC cost last year, and both watched on the same account, at the same time, from different homes. Didn't try with 3 homes, but 2 worked.

Really? I tried to use it and it didn't seem to list anything preseason. I get it as part of my Rogers package. I wonder if I have to re-register every year.
