With any luck, much, much worse. Deadpool is at best when he's doing things like trying to reattach an arm or put his guts back inside.

e: or blows his own brains out so he doesn't have to listen to a boring speech. Deadpool and hyper-violence is a match made in heaven.

I bought tickets for my 12, 9 and 7 year old. Then my wife watched the trailers.

I was told to refund them...

Fought hard and the 12 year old is still going.

I'm curious on why you fought hard on this? Why is it so important for you to have your kids watch R rated movies?

He's seen the trailers and wanted to go. We talked about it and decided he could see it. Not so much a fight or argument.

Unlike the US, Canada doesn't have a single ratings board across the country. Each province gives the movies their own rating. It looks like Deadpool is 18A in Ontario and Manitoba, 13+ in Quebec, and 14A everywhere else.

You can see them on the Cineplex site if you click the "View Ratings and Warnings" link: http://www.cineplex.com/Movie/deadpo..._Home_Title_EN

I saw Blade 2 in theatres when I was 11 with my mom. I think it was rated 18A at the time. Still think it's the best Marvel movie till this day...

After seeing the red band trailers I'm surprised it's 13+ or 14A anywhere as the language and violence seems much more extreme than movies like say a Maze Runner or Hunger Games type movie.

Case closed. Listen to Deadpool!

Wait for the DVD release and your kids will just stream it behind your back and you still win parent of the year.

Edit: err blu-ray, is DVD like this generations version of someone saying VHS?

Yep. Popped by my preferred theatre, found that it's showing it tonight (I want to go to see Colossus, one of my fave characters, done right, as opposed to him in the X-Men movies) with one of my favored seats still available. Snapped that ticket up.

I am taking my wife for Valentines Day, she doesn't know yet. Pray for me CP.

And I agree about assigned seating, I sit off to the side in the two seaters, front row above where you walk in which is about middle of the theatre. So I only have to worry about two mouth breathers behind me talking or kicking my seat, and so far only happened once.

I refuse to go to busy movie unless there's assigned seating. The days of going early to get seats and sitting there like an idiot are over.

Ok, I liked it. It was in a narrative style I don't tend to like for 1/2 the film, but it was pretty good. I really did like Colossus, and didn't find Reynolds too grating.
