I'm obviously watching Greece, is anyone watching the Japan game? Is it really as one sided as it appears from the halftime stats? Says shots 13-3, on goal 8-1, possession 62% all in favour of Japan. Colombia didn't even show up? Need a Japanese loss, guys!
If Japan wins 2-1, Greece would need to win 3-0, or more.

This group is about as finely balanced as possible with 40 minutes left. Only Colombia is feeling safe right now. Greece currently sitting second but one goal by Japan moves them into second and one goal by Cote d'Ivoire moves them into second. Crazy stuff.

Edit: oops. I spoke too soon. With that goal Japan is likely done and it's down to whether Cote d'Ivoire can score to advance.

Cote D'Ivoire pressing very hard here. Quite surprised it's not level yet.

I cant believe Costa Rica won that group. What the hell were the bookmaker odds on them before the tournament?

Unfortunately, I expect Greece to collapse into that defensive shell now that the other game is 2-1.

yup

Personally I would call both teams to the stadium where they have to play next and have a penalty shootout. Whoever loses has to shamefully walk out of the stadium. Winner kicks off against Costa Rica.

The coin toss has always been the strength of Canada in international tournaments - I think we're 3-0 in them including one that helped us on the way to the 2000 Gold Cup Final

So that's like what? 3 times Greece has hit the woodwork in this World Cup in total?

Ahhhhhh! Heartbreak!

Here's Gekas... hopefully can spark something. So disappointing, so many opportunities to go up 2.
