Practically a win for the Oilers, their first round crew got lots of points... Building something special again.

They've been probably waiting to do that all year long.

Yeah Gene, it's much more difficult having to play the Oilers than say the Kings or Ducks. Astute analysis there. A team that hasn't done anything for years and gets dominated on most nights is usually going to make for a hard W.

Wait, did Principe just basically ask if the Sharks were worried about this game because Edmonton sucks so much?

Don't you remember the one time they beat them? You know the game Scrivens made 60 saves and the Sharks ran roughshould over the Oil for the entire game. Obviously the Sharks had reason to fear them after that battle.

A different angle:

Of course.
They're promoting the value of (part of) the on ice product that Sportsnet bought 12 years of.

Considering how the Canadian teams are doing, how's that investment looking now boys?

To say its not even a penalty is pure homerism rubbish.

At MINIMUM its a 2 minute charging penalty. He darted from half way across the rink just to hit Mcdonaugh as hard as he could.

Plus, his hands are right in Mcdonaugh's face when he makes contact so its a high hit, thats 2 for roughing at MINIMUM.

Since the refs know the type of player Burrows is and that it is pretty clear his intention was to hurt Mcdonaugh with that run he put together, its no surprise he got a 5 minute major.

The one canuck player already took the body, burrows could've easily went for the puck and come away with it but instead he decided to freight train Mcdonaugh.

Suspension coming.

It's impossible to have a rational discussion with most Canucks fans, don't even try.

John Shannon ‏@JSportsnet
Phone hearing for Doug Murray of Mtl tomorrow for hit on Tampa's Mike Kostka

That hit didn't even deserve an in-person hearing? That's surprising.
