They're also really all about the amplitude. I don't know what Riddle's average height was, but you saw Rolland boost almost 20 feet out of the pipe on his first hit.
Wise just won a medal.

The way the sport is judged is out of the realm of reasonableness.
I get that it's your sport and you love it, and I didn't watch any of the X Games or World Cup events this year like I did the two prior years, but the judging in general of this sport is absurd.

Making statements like that when you don't know what you're talking about is asinine. How can you have such a strongly held opinion about something you clearly don't understand at all?
Dorey down! Fell on the second double. This is the problem with Dorey, he has what's needed to medal, but his consistency landing these tricks isn't necessarily there like it is with Wise and Rolland.

I'm not going to get into a stupid pointless argument with you, you've been pretty much consistently rude to people throughout the entire Olympics.
Instead, I rather just enjoy what I'm seeing. Well, what we can see, with this fog.
Bad luck for Dorey, was looking sharp.

Cite me these instances of rudeness. Meanwhile, you're denigrating an entire sport out of ignorance, and that's perfectly tactful from where you sit?

Very nice second run for Riddle.

I think it's awesome that Rory Bushfield is in Sochi cheering on our Canadians.

Riddle took a bit off his best run trying to get onto the podium and pulled it off! 90.6 should be good enough for a medal, knocking on wood. Was rewarded for the height on some of his slower spins including a bow and arrow 7 (IIRC), and clean landings on back to back doubles.
EDIT: Not good enough for Jossi, couldn't get the last trick down cleanly and his doubles were on the same wall.
Big threat coming up here from Rolland. EDIT: Went for a third double but couldn't land it. Would have been interesting because the technical level was there but literally every good trick was on the right wall.

Rolland seems to have hurt himself by trying to go so big on the last jump, looked like a great run up until that point

Yeah but I'm pretty sure it was identical to his first until that point. He needed to do something to bump his score up.
Good lord Valentin is BOOSTING. Damn, and then washed it out at the end, shouldn't get on the podium.

Canada guaranteed a silver at worst, still potential for two medals.

Wise down! Now just up to Dorey, if he can put his run down he will probably win, if he can't, we get silver.
EDIT: Nope. Only able to stick 1 of 4 runs. Still, silver for Riddle is a very good result for us.

Too bad, he looked good at the top. Good job by Riddle to get us a silver!

Swiss losing to Latvia in the 3rd? This is what happens when you don't start Reto Berra.

I was worried because the Swiss could have really gave Canada problems if Hiller stood on his head but now I think against Latvia it shouldn't be too hard.

Another mixed bag for Canada:
The Good: 2 Silver medals which is awesome, Humphries and Moyse are in the hunt for a Gold, Maltais and Drolet got through their heats in 1000 m short track, Cournoyer and Jean advanced in their heats as well in 500 m mens short track.
The bad: Hamelin crashing yet again in the 500 m heat, Robanske crashing out of his QF in snowboard cross after leading 2/3 of the heat, and Hill not finishing in his semi in Snowboard cross as well.
Definitely still some opportunity for Canada to win some gold medals. We still have ski cross, Mens and women's Curling, Mens and Womens hockey, ladies ski half pipe, and snowboard slalom as well.
