Looks like next week features a major blowup...should be fun. Never thought the tribe with the brains would beat the new brawn tribe...but now it is certainly more even with Cliff gone.

Just caught the most recent episode...it was pretty good, though I could wish the tribes were a bit more mixed up, but it looks like there'll be plenty of social dynamics at play.
The look on Lindsay's face after Cliff was voted out was priceless.

so Lindsey Ogle has a boo hoo with Trish over the fact that they voted out Cliff and quits? Was Cliff giving her the Kulbasa?
Boo Fn Hoo...what a moron. I dont much like Trish either but shes perfect to take to the final 3 because no one will vote for her. One of the more moronic people to quit Ive seen.
Alexis also boo hoos on her way out after being blindsided and all of a sudden the Brains have control of that tribe.
Tony makes big mistake suggesting they are final 5...internally and externally he opened his mouth at the wrong time and is now exhibit A for removal.
bradster57 and I have been eliminated and a few others take first hits.

That sucks.. always brutal when somebody goes home who wants to be there while someone who can be there just up and quits. What a baby. Love how they show that "Shame on you Lindsie" message in the sand.
A moment of silence for one of the better looking girls to ever play Survivor.

For a million bucks I would share a one bedroom condo with Pauley Shore, David Spade and Roseanne Bar for 39 days.
Pretty lame to quit for that reason.

That was the most Brutal quitting in the history of the show.
I can respect the "I don't want to do something I'll regret because this is national TV" thing, but that's where self-control comes in.
It's a lame way to excuse your own behaviour and not take responsibility for yourself.
I would be so pissed if I was Cliff.

When Tony was admitting that he was a cop and Trish piped up "And I used to be a man"... Is that true? Because I can kinda see it.

I was going to ask that question because it would explain a lot
Except if I remember she has kids. So she's just annoying and a little mannish

Tony may have made a colossal mistake with his big mouth. Stunning loss of control on his part to be honest.

My wife and I were wondering if there is some personal history with Lindsay. Probst was much kinder to her than he was to prior quitters (see Colton).
I think they may be framing Trisha for a future villain role. Will see how far she goes.

It seems a brutal way to quit to be sure. But on the other hand we are slaves to the editing. If Lindsay, say, felt she almost lost it and came close to assaulting someone and it scared her quitting may have been the best move. Sometimes people do almost lose control and it is best to remove themselves from the situation. For most of us in real life that involves a cool down period and avoiding the situation from happening again. On something like Survivor you don't really get to extract yourself from the situation. It's constant.

Stunning, but not shocking.
Tony is a loudmouth.

Well, that was quite the episode. I'm not impressed with Lindsay, but that's nothing new. Nothing she's done has impressed me, so why should her quitting?
A bit worried about Tony. He so lost control of his mouth this episode. Almost every time he opened it, I wanted tell him to shut it. Part of me wonders if that's part of his plan though...make it seem like he's alienating Sarah, which gives her a good 'in' to work in the other tribe.
I also thought it was pretty funny when Aparri was talking about how Alexis and Jeremiah have ties to the 'other' tribe...and NOT ONE of them mentioned Sarah...the only person who's ENTIRE previous tribe was over on the 'other' tribe.

I think people underestimate social pressures. Your only friend has been eliminated. You've been ostracized from the community that you have to live and work with. It's like being the kid who gets bullied every day at school, knowing he has to go back to school the next day. Can be very emotionally draining and demoralizing.
Yea, quitting shows weakness, blah blah blah, but I'm just trying to present a viewpoint from the other side.

In normal every day life I completely agree. Not in a game that has been on TV for some dozen years or more and has seen this behavior many times before. This is a voluntary gambit by anyone who chooses to Outwit, Outplay and Outlast his competitors in any way possible to win a MILLION dollars. IF I was in the game I wouldn't belittle anyone, but I sure as hell would try my hardest to bring idiots that do create diversity with me to the final 3...removes a vote/wart when others are voting for a winner.
Lindsay was Outplayed and Outwitted and she quit as opposed to Outlasting her opponents. At least Cliff proved to be a good gamer when he admitted he was outplayed.

Wow, that was one hell of an episode. I'm pretty convinced that Sarah talked herself into being voted out there. If she'd just picked a side and quietly played the other, she'd actually likely have been a "Queen Bee".
Great tribal, too. Never seen 2 Immunity idols played before. The next few weeks are going to be interesting.

Parvati played two idols during the Heroes vs Villains season if I remember correctly. Got JT kicked out. The best part was JT has given one of his idols to Russell a couple days prior.

That was crazy. This has to be the most unpredictable season yet. I think I've predicted the wrong vote off at almost every single tribal thus far. They did a great job in casting this season as well, as outside of maybe 2-3 people left they are all pretty solid players. I have no read on what's going to happen, but I think Tony wins if he makes it all the way.
It looked like LJ made a terrible movie giving his idol to Tony instead of Trish or Jefra, as why would they vote for Tony knowing he had an idol? But he got lucky that Kass flipped. Although I don't understand why Kass was so quick to flip on the brains when she has no one on the other side she can really trust.
Sarah deserves to be brought back during an all-star season, as does Tony I suppose.
Oh and I hope someone has a GIF of Morgan doing pilates.

Great episode.
True, Sarah was on an ego trip. Kass is easily the bigger moron though. She could've picked off the brawnish 5some and gotten to the final 6. She also had an in with her former Brains tribemates Spencer and Tasha to form a final 3some. Instead, she goes on a crazy butthurt trip and decides to flip for no good raisin.
The tribal council was setting up to be an complete annihilation by getting the brawnish tribe to waste 2 idols and still lose a member. But Kass blows it. Dumb dumb dumb.
The only way she can redeem herself is if she pulls off an amazingly epic 'swing vote flip-flop' strategy. She flips back to the brainish tribe next tribal council, promising to make things right. The next week -- bam! side with the brawnies again. Her reputation as a consistent flipflopper makes her vote reliable, getting her to the final tribal council. She's obviously too dumb to make it work, but that would be an freaking awesome strategy if it happened.
