Stating the obvious is too. Raining on the parade won't make the points disappear, so why point out what everyone knows is true?
We ARE going to win SOME games no matter how terrible we finish, so why not enjoy them when they come. Losing is incredibly boring

Ramo is clearly the better goaltender.. Just saying.
.500 record for him and .904SV% which is respectable given the team in front of him.
He's still got a little ways to go yet, but he lets in far fewer airheaded goals lately, whereas Berra I feel still has his moments as often as he doesn't.

l think the Flames' goaltending is actually pretty good. It's the rest that needs some work.

Cause, you know, deliberately trying to lose is the best way to learn how to win.
Luckily for the rest of us, the Flames have more self-respect than you ever will.

Found the game oddly entertaining -- no super suspense, but lots of hope after the 2-0 goal. (And no hoping for a come-from-behind miracle that we've come to "expect".)
Thought the guys played a solid game - lots of shots to get going and kept at it steadily throughout. Nice road game, great work ethic, not too much in the way of stupid play and giveaways. What's not to like?

Best part of Backlund's goal was the Canes defender who tried to hit him afterwards and bounced off.
Best part of Monahan's goal were the two successive passes from Galiardi and Byron.

Big play from Galiardi to glove the puck down there. He had a step on the defender because of it and drew his checker to him.

He's also playing with O'Brien, so likely is the 3rd pairing guy with PP time. But yes, got banged up a little.

Didn't know Backs had the "a" on his jersey. That's awesome!

Whenever I hear Backlund talk about the Flames, I get the feeling that he genuinely appreciates and loves being a Flame. I'm all for him being an assistant captain on this team.
