Well he is out regardless so let it go. Stop slagging the thread.

He hasn't been all that great in the NHL either, which is why the Wild released him to the tournament and people are wondering if he gets sent down to Portland after the WJCs are over.

Young kid though, obviously. Seems his development curve will be a little longer than some others.

Swiss with a lucky bounce on the PP.

That is why you can't take stupid penalties and let them stay close.

NM looks like it was a deflection.

Looks like it is above the bar from the blueline shot but really close on the other angle.

I think they just go with the call on the ice to make it easier.

Late goal. Yikes.

That is as close as you can get. If you can't determine one way or the other does the call on the ice stand in IIHF?

With close calls like that you have to reward the skill. The whole stick over the cross bar is a stupid rule anyway. Why arbitrarily make that a non-goal when it's perfectly okay to do it any other time?

Yup. If it is as inconclusive as you guys are saying, it's 2-1 going to the third.

I dunno, it can go either way. No matter how they call it, someone's gonna be butthurt.

Personally I think it's a good goal.

Fucale isn't the type to get rattled.
Even if the goal stands, it was a fluke. Canada has this game.

Surprised they're taking this long on an inconclusive goal.

That shot right there looks like it is the exact height of the crossbar. You can see the bar just to the right of Fucale's right arm.

Canadas 4th line is considerably lower level than the other 3 lines. I find it hard to believe the country didnt have better players to take than Anderson and Gauthier. Hudon isn't noticable in any way, shape or form either.

Sucky, but the right call IMO.

The 4th line was great in the 3rd period against the Amreicans and Gauthier seems to be a FO specialist and won two big FO's last game in the last minute.

Probably because the goaltender stands lower to the ice than most players, so shoulder height on a skater is head height on a goalie.

But it's not ok to do it any other time? If a player hits a puck with a highstick they blow the play dead.

Wow. That stupid Egg McMuffin ad is way more annoying than the British goalie kid.
