Maybe there were easter eggs for the older fans that gave it away earlier but I didn't notice them. Either way, I think it gets some harsh critizism from fans that were expecting the Khan from Star Trek II. People going into movies based on old material that are hoping to see exactly what they envisioned for their beloved characters are always going to be disappointed. Not because one is worse than the other, its just because it isn't what YOU wanted/remember. The new Khan was going to be different than the old Khan. If people can't understand that going in I don't know what to say.

Rent?.... What is this word?
Cumberbatch will always be Sherlock to me. Him playing in CGI pumped hollywood blockbusters probably just feels like childsplay for him, with a nice paycheque. He's too good for it, though.

Btw folks, Sherlock series 3 is currently airing.

Was actually watching the time waiting for it to end for the last 30 mins
I would've enjoyed MoS way more if they didn't have that stupid tornado scene where Clark sits 100 ft away and watches his dad die. Nagged at me the entire movie, and doesn't help define the person Clark becomes later in life.

I bet Michael Fassbender would have nailed the accent and made the movie great.

The best movie of 2013 for me was The Wolf Of Wall Street. By a wide margin. There's still a few I have to see though.

Man, Jonah Hill was so good in that movie. The whole ludes/car/choking scene might have been one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

I have high hopes for this one, I would say Leo is due for his Oscar, if Capt Phillips hadn't been released earlier this year.

And of course Fassbender, for whatever he was in this year.

looks like title needs to be updated to Fassbender Appreciation Thread, or Michael Fricken' Fassboner

Food, Entertainment & Fassbender would make for a more efficient sub section.

Fassbender is no Daniel Day Lewis that's for sure, maybe one day I suppose. Pretty sure DDL clones himself for all of his movies, and each of his replicates are grown into the roles he plays throughout their lives. After they fulfill their duties the original DDL kills the clone so he can receive the appreciation instead of them (sort of like Jackman in The Prestige).

So if you saw someone in a high school play a few years back who absolutely killed it as Abraham Lincoln, that was actually just a Daniel Day Lewis clone.

Oh, almost 8 whole years old. I guess that means everyone on this forum must have seen it!

I didn't see many, so I'll just rank the movies I saw:

Furious 6
Red 2
Frozen
Despicable Me 2
Turbo
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
Smurfs 2

It is both good, and sad, that I see more kids movies now.

Fast and Furious 6 was the phoniest movie I can ever remember seeing in my life. Had scenes that made Commando look like the most accurate war movie ever put on film.

I really liked it up until the tank scene, then it just got absolutely ridiculous. One dumb, phony, ridiculous part after another. Not just action scenes either.

Double crosses that make no sense, characters making inexplicably ######ed decisions, amnesia plotline, laws of physics being shattered. I can't trash it's stupidity enough. Even Michael Bay must have shook his head.

I still like the characters and some parts were cool. Big letdown, because the fifth one was actually pretty good.

Is this thread for "worst movie of 2013" or "worst movie of 2013 that i thought would be awesome"? Because if it's the former anyone saying Man of Steel has lost all credibility concerning everything for life.
