There were atleast a couple of times when Butler turned the puck over in the d zone but Berra bailed him out. Then Butler would hold a puck in the offensive zone that will create a chance for the Flames. Showed some feistiness as well when he took the penalty cross checking the Blues player.

O Brien was very involved in the game. Taking the puck deep, making solid passes. Was impressed with his game today.

Hudler is a magician. His entire shift prior to his goal, was quite a treat to watch.
It's all good man, in the end the Flames won. Didn't mean to pile on, either, as I imagine you feel bad enough anyway.

Killer Bs tonight. Berra was solid in net - though not tested as often as I would have expected. Byron (or Baron as my autocorrect called him on Twitter) has decided he's done with the AHL. Backlund was strong. Even Butler, after a couple bad giveaways early, was a positive contributor.

And the other killer B.... How in the hell the ref did not call that a major penalty is beyond me. That was a deliberate attempt to injure. Of course, knowing how Shanahan doesn't seem to care when Flames players (and Stajan especially) are injured by cheap shots, he'll probably get off with nothing.

Something to think about.

Give me your tickets.
Get in line ... The flames are something like 29-1 or 30-1 since 2006 when I'm in the dome. Only loss was to the damn Canucks.

The Flames have never lost to the Canucks whilst I have attended the game.

Checkmate.

Byron and Backlund are both playing with a ton of confidence. Byron might become a regualr NHLer if he can keep it up.

O'Brien was a man possessed in OT.

Stempniak can't catch a break in front of the net.

Is Smid a magnet for hockey pucks?

Did Breen play in the 3rd period?

I'd like to know who lit a fire under Backlund. He's been playing great hockey of late and seems to have found his confidence.

Nice win by the Flames tonight. Great last 5 minutes in regulation to tie it. I seem to like Colborne more and more each game. Great to see a local kid come through every time!

For anybody looking for a replay for the Backes/Stajan collision.

Stajan has been headshot by Stall and Brodin (or was it Coyle?) and the person has never been suspended. Nothing is going to happen to Backes.

Backlund's step up in play has coincided exactly with when Monahan went down with his ankle injury (12 games ago). Opportunity is everything.

I feel like the entire OT period should've been put up on NHLs YouTube channel.
