I bought it from the Staples on 9th ave. The guy kept pushing accessories and the warrantly on me because I'm sure this is being sold at cost or even at a loss.

How about a good 4 or 5 piece phone system.

Next time I'm in the US I'm apparently going to stock up on these.

I have enough friends/family spread out over the U.S. that I could have some shipped to me.

Mills is the factory outlet and they sell less expensive, although very nice suits and shirts. The downtown location is an actual brooks brothers, suits generally start around $900.

Yeah, that's like a 7 year old model though. The 650's came out in 2012 and last boxing day were listed for $299 vs current $499. That's what I'm hoping for....
Thanks, regardless

I just bought one an hour ago at Staples in Okotoks. The guy said they had some left, I am not sure how many though.

Nicker, do you want to pick me up one too? haha
I wonder how much they would cost to have shipped up here. They look small enough.

I believe Walmart now sells Chromecasts in the US. Bestbuy for sure, as that's where we got ours last month.
Was thinking of purchasing a couple at the time but held off, though probably will get another one when they come here as they really are useful for the $35 price.

Is this a good deal for a iPad mini? Looking to maybe pick up one for the kids -- no idea how much they cost these days...

The one thing I will say about the iPad mini- it is the older model. So while it is only 1 year old, the CPU is the same as an iPad 2. The newer one also has retina display.
The CPU was the deciding factor for me. My iPad 2 is already a little sluggish. I didn't want to buy a "brand new" mini that had a 3 year old CPU. And that was with me looking at sales last month around the $290 mark.

And the price beat isn't all that great.
Here’s how it works.
If you’re about to make a purchase at Future Shop.- Tell us which competitor is offering the lower price.
- Our associates will verify the price and that the item is in stock and available for immediate sale and delivery.
- We will beat the competitor’s price by 10% of the difference.
So for the $250 I paid I can shop that at FS and save $7 (10% of $70) which is probably going to be less than the gas and hassle to drive down to FS.

For me it was good enough since I will only be using it for surfing in bed. I find the iPad too big to hold comfortably and the iPod too small for serious web surfing.
