So is Backlund the next suspect as the player Burke told Feaster he didn't like? Corban Knight with three goals in three games in Abbotsford. Maybe he gets called up for fourth line duty if Hartley doesn't want Backlund there. Clearly he isn't going to get any more chances in the top three unless there's an injury. The irony is that Backlund's treatment is mirroring what happened to Stajan under Sutter.

Flames were solid, the goalie wasn't, flat out cost the team the loss.

Colborne has been getting better each game of the last 5 or so, he's earned more ice time. Had some nice chemistry with Cammaleri too.

Didn't catch the entire game (so I don't know if the time was well deserved, but based on comments so far it doesn't seem to have been), but is it possible Burke gave a directive to play Colborne a lot tonight to try to show the Leafs that he fleeced them?

My other conspiracy annoyance is that TSN only replayed the cross-check on Hudler from the worst possible angle?
I believe there was 1:22 left when the Leafs got the EN and the Flames were on the powerplay and had momentum. You could really sense the deflation after that.

Roman Cervenka? He has been leading St. Petersburg in scoring since Kovalchuk went down. St. Petersburg currently sits first in the league.

I highly doubt it and if he did then he shouldn't be a part of this teams management. If anything they probably saw a chance to test a highly motivated Colborne and see what he can do.

It wasn't the fans in the building that were the problem, it was the fans who weren't in the building because they thought the extra money they could get selling their tickets to Leafs fans was more important.

They're the ones who should be embarrassed.

Dispite all mistakes and miscues I think we can all agree that this years version of the Flames is fun to watch. Sure beats the boring Brent Sutter hockey we watched for 3 years.

It's been coming for a while now. Not sure when it'll hit. Remember how everyone said Burke built a great team in Toronto? No he didn't

Without Bernier the Flames win this in a walk. They embarrassed the Leafs everywhere except the scoreboard. That guy is a darn good goalie, with enviable rebound control.

Glencross with his best game of the year. Looked dominant out there.

Stajan showing what a useful player he has become. Wouldn't mind him staying through the rebuild to pass on the little things to the youngsters coming up.

I like David Jones. Has a great, aggressive game and goes to the net with purpose, unlike our last 1st line RW (cough, cough).

Russell is very heads up. Could be a real gem in short order.

Baertschi combining sick skills with a solid effort all over the ice. The points will come, and honorable mention for that backhand setup to Hudler. Keeeee-rist.

Brodie great again, minus one gaffe.

Ramo is not looking like the solution, but give the guy a solid 20 games before passing judgment. His head definitely wasn't in this one though.

Don't disagree with that, but you'd think the existing fans could at least drown out all the go leafs go chants.

Rarely is a goal all because of one guy or one thing. And it definitely wasn't in this case.

Brodie coughed up the puck at centre. It happens. Butler didn't play it well, Ramo played it poorly, and no one covered Raymond (Butler and Bouma).

If every turnover resulted in a goal because, you know, it was 100% on them, each game would end up 30-29

One thing is for sure, Toronto is winning 0 playoff games being outshot 40-some odd to 18. It's going to catch up with them soon enough. Goalie tandem is definitely inflating their record. On the other hand, Ramo cost us one. Unfortunate. Had to listen to obnoxious leafs fans the whole way out. They're lucky they didn't come too close to me.

We need him as a goaltending coach.

Jackman is not the answer either. If you're going to bench Backs for a game at least put in a capable replacement and not a useless pylon.
