I think Yak and Dub/Labarb for Gardiner, Riemer, Kulimen makes some sense. Leafs get a scroing RW to play with Lupul and Kadri. Oilers get a goalie, Dman, and a bigger grittier RW.

I think it's only a matter of time before the oil and leafs make that trade. I hope all the players involved crap the bed after the trade as I hate both teams a lot

This is all happening way too fast. Yakupov is supposed to finish his entry level deal, sign his basic huge Edmonton Oilers 2nd contract THEN have problems.

Damn you crazy flaky Russians.

How are they mishandling Yakupovs development? Hes playing like crap so hes being held accountable.

They waited until he quit scoring to hold him responsible for his defence instead of doing it last season when the lesson might have sunk in.

Well, nobody is holding Justin Schultz accountable. Seems odd to single out Yakupov.

waited until he quit scoring? if you watched the games that has nothing to do with it at all. The guy wants nothing to do with defense. Eakins said he would hold his players accountable and so far I'm impressed with him. As far as Schultz goes, don't be surprised if he's the next one ridding pine if he keeps playing like garbage.

He wanted nothing to do with defence last year either.

Eakins wasn't the coach last year
MacT wasn't the GM last year.

Tru dat.

It'd go out on a limb and say Butler is twice as good as Schultz in the defensive end.

Lets not compare Butler to anyone, it'll make him look even worse. Schultz is bad defensively but not as bad as Butler...

I think Yakapov is going to be traded after he plays his next game as an oiler. They have to let him play to raise his already falling stock a little.

Nail Yakupov will be a healthy scratch again tonight. Makes two games in a row.

I did not specify Yakupov's development, rather I think there is an argument there that Hall and RNH have not progressed as they could/should have. Now, this may not be the case, but if Yakupov is unhappy then this could quickly balloon into what his camp thinks is a legitimate concern.

Man this is getting really entertaining now. Tough not to smile at the huge mess they have created up north. Those kids have the biggest sense of entitlement I've ever seen and they haven't won or proven anything. Serves them right.

How come Taylor Hall isn't being held accountable? Kid is a giveaway machine this year. Man, that franchise is such a freaking gong show!!!

Is it weird that Edmonton always finds these players or is it Edmonton that makes these players the way they are?
