They really have been quiet about what is actually going on during the practices during the pre-season and season so far.

Anyone with a great memory want to post last year's starting lineup as a comparison?

Like the third line.

Hopefully playing with the young guys forces D.Jones to use his speed and size to create space for the youth.

Butler/O'Brien scares the crap out of me.

I like the 3rd line also. Now lets hope that Hartely gives them some minutes. Not convinced he will though.

I know that the lines are all pretty equal but I just don't see Hartly giving the rookies a chance. I see him going with his vets like he usually does. I know it's early to harp on the coach but I really don't like him for a rebuilding team.

Hartley played rookes Hejduk and Tanguay on a line with Sakic.

Played young Kovlachuk and Heatley together on a line with Kozlov.

Actually would be in line with his previous coaching to put both rookies on the same line. The guy has actually coached and given opportunities to alot of young players over his career.

The guy is on record for saying he likes to play his vets. Nothing changed in the pre-season so i don't expect that to change in the first game of the season. Neither Sven or Monahan will get PK time. If lucky one of them will get 30 seconds on the 2nd PP unit.

Brodie on the bench to start last year, now in first pairing, hope he continues to progress even further.

That isnt true. Harlet used rookies quite often in Avs...back in the Tanguay, Drury days.

they guy leans on his vets big time. He'll play high ranked rookies with star vets. In col it didn't matter who he played, they were all amazing. He played Heatly and Kovalchuck a lot because they were #1 picks and Kozlov was really the only other "star" of the team.

The Flames are in a full blown rebuild, get a young inovative coach to build a system while the team is being built.

Wow, can we just wait for at least 1 game before calling for Hartley's head If he for some unknown reason refuses to give our two stud prospects ice time, then complain all you want....I just don't see that happening. Baertshi will get tons of PP time, even if it is "second" unit.

Guessing Colborne is out while he catches up on the Flames' system.

I like what I see here and am sure it will at least be an exciting game.

Glencross-Stajan-Stempniak - Proven chemistry, perfect balance of size, skill and solid defensively.

Hudler-Backlund-Galiardi - Glad they are giving Galiardi some top 6 time, the guy is extremely tenacious and stoked to be a flame. He will be our best fore checker this year. Should work out well with the skill of his linemates.

Baertschi-Monahan-D. Jones - 2 kids fighting for full time NHL position. One trying to prove the management wrong, the other trying to stick it in Pro's to avoid those long bus rides. Throw in a big body veteran eager to prove he's worth his contract.

Bouma-Street-McGrattan - I like Street as 4rth line center. With his speed and grit he should be able to help the line do more than just fight. Bouma has scored in every game since his injury so lets hope that trend continues. We all know McGrattan is the best heavyweight in the league so he'll obviously be a fan favourite again this year.
