This show is barely available in HD in the US, as well. It is only on Universal HD, which is barely carried anywhere (not on Comcast). Not only that, even if you are fortunate enough to get it, they show it a season behind SCIFI. For the last couple years, it and The Dead Zone are the only 2 scripted shows I watch that aren't in HD.

Thompson and his writing partner, David Weddle, wrote and produced 10 2-minute “Battlestar Galactica” Webisodes which may debut online in September (when Sci Fi confirms a date on their debut, I’ll let you know. One possible title floating around is "Battlestar Galactica: Resistance"). The Webisodes will concern the birth of the resistance movement on New Caprica (as you’ll recall from the show’s breathtaking finale, the Cylons, after leaving the human survivors alone on New Caprica for months, invaded the planet and took over).

As the panel ended, Olmos hinted at another dark plotline, in which the humans would release a pandemic upon the Cylons. However, he also revealed that the number of humans left alive on the series has dropped from somewhere around 49,000 people to 38,000, saying, "We're losing fast."

BTW, in order to see season 2.5 I "aquired" the final 10 episodes.
The picture quality of these episodes are far superior to the PQ of season 2.0 DVDs. They must come from a HD source.

Battlestar update.
New episode dates set, as well as the new web series talked about above.
Quote:
Sci Fi will air "Occupation" and "Precipice" back-to-back on October 6th. The story will not pick up immediately after the end of the Season Two finale. There will be another jump of a few months.

Back-to-back, Christmas in October this year!!

You can only view the webepisodes from the scifi site if you're in the US. But there are torrents floating around. I won't give any links because that may be in violation of forum rules.
You may also want to wait until all the webepisodes are released. They're only about 4 minutes in lenght, and I am sure someone will add them all together and make a torrent of it once they've all been released.

A Youtube link below was available for Canadians for a single day . . . . then was removed at the request of NBC as per the note at the top of the page.

The SciFi channel only services the United States, so why waste bandwidth on people that could never be their customers.
But by that logic, scifi wouldn't have cared if the video was on YouTube -- in fact it could have even helped reduce the load on their site. Perhaps they have a specific reason for wanting people to view it on their site. My guess would be a deal with their advertising sponsor, since people rehosting the video could edit out the advertisements.

This Chicago Tribune entertainment reporter has seen the opening episode of season 3 . . . . . she said the ending made her "physically nauseous. But in a good way."
The link . . . . you should be good for spoilers.

Entertainment Weekly with an extensive look at Battlestar Galactica in the last day or two:
''Battlestar Galactica'': Inside TV's next great cult hit. If you're already into this sci-fi series, you know it rivals ''Lost'' and ''24'' among TV's best.

FYI . . . . Ron Moore says season three has been written and he's started working on season four, something sure to raise eyebrows . . . . he talks about a wide range of issues in this interview, including the proposed Caprica prequel.
http://www.scifi.com/sfw/interviews/sfw13789.html
I think Mary McDonnell is on "Today" . . . . today.
A preview with mild, mild spoilers that you probably already knew . . . although you probably didn't know there are dogs on New Caprica.
http://www.tvsquad.com/2006/08/31/ba...nd-early-look/
Hypaspace Weekly yesterday on Space - just happened to be channel surfing by - had a preview with some pretty astonishing spoilers that I probably didn't need to see. But that's another story.
