Sign Mueller to a one-year prove it deal and let Monahan tear up the OHL next year.

Get rid of Stajan and sign Grabovski to a 2 year deal.

I'd be happy if Flames grabbed Grabovski and Brunner for 3 year deal deals.

Didn't Mueller get a one year "prove it" deal in Florida last year?

I'd be pleasantly surprised if the Flames nabbed him. But I feel he signs in the East somewhere.

I wonder how much he's seeking per season. I wouldn't be surprised if he's asking close to 4 million per season and probably looking for at least 3 years and at that price and term, I wouldn't want the Flames to bring him on board.

Under four years is good for grabovski. Stajan is done after this year, and it'll be good to have some insurance at center position for a few years after. In case Knight, Monahan, Horak, Granlund cannot make the jump and fill a top two center role.

Agreed. It also address his issue with being bottom four on his last team. Passionate player who wants to work hard and play large minutes. I, for one, would love to see him signed 3 years 12 mil

45 currently, with Brodie and Bancks still as outstanding RFAs. Sieloff and Monahan are both counted in the 45, but their contracts can slide this year if they go back to junior.

Is there something I'm missing about Brunner? I'm a little surprised he's still a free agent.

It's been said somewhere that most teams are likely holding off on anymore UFA signings until most of the RFA stuff like arbitration is done. Which makes sense.
As far as Brunner goes I think I've read in more than a couple places the most likely landing spot for him is NJ.

Signing Grabovski just takes minutes away from the rookies. It would push Knight to the 4th line, assuming Monahan already plays in junior.

They would have to trade Stajan this summer. Next year they are going to want one veteran center in the mix. I doubt they want Monahan, Backlund, Knight and Reinhart ( all being young) as their center group for 2014-2015.
I personally feel that they should wait and see if Backlund can be that true #2 center. If after this year he does not look like he can do it, they can spend money on a UFA veteran center. Granted i have no idea who is available next ufa market. I do not see Stajan in the flames plans past the trade deadline.
