He's guaranteed for the Heat. Everybody knows this. Unless he needs a week of conditioning, I doubt it's necessary. Greg Neimsz isn't going either - AHL talent is AHL talent.

Development camp is only for players on ELCs IIRC, which would mean Nemisz is not eligible for the camp.

Neimsz is no longer on an entry level contract, to my understanding that is why he's not going.

Ah, gotcha.

Still, he doesn't need to go to this. Has enough pro experience IMO.

So when they say 10 am to 4 pm, I'm assuming there are session times? I'm on vacation this week so I think it would be fun to go down and watch. I'm assuming its free admission right?

I have the week off as well and would definitely be interested it going. Anyone on CP wanna hit it up together? Maybe we can get a group of us and head down?

Entry level contact, that's why he's not there. The only reason.

He tweeted something about having the worst luck while flying earlier, wonder if he got re-routed.

Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster.

Just wondering how worth it the practice/drill days are in comparison to the scrimmage days. I have the privilege of living in Edmonton, and have some time off so was gonna come down to check out some of the new additions to our solid prospect pool. Just hoping I could get some insight and maybe a recommendation on which days have been the most exciting and would be worth checking out.

As someone who makes the trip down from Edmonton pretty much every year I'd definitely recommend the scrimmage. The drills can be quite boring especially skating drills with no pucks and you'd probably hate yourself for making the trip down. Unless you're a diehard prospects fan even the scrimmage may feel like a waste as it is only 1.5/2 hours max usually.

Sounds like I'll be making the trip down for Saturday and Sunday. Really looking forward to seeing some of the new 2013 draftees. Can't wait to see Monahan first hand.

As per the Flames PR staff, no numbers on the jerseys because of the flood. Helmets will have numbers, but they just couldn't get all the cresting work done in the limited time they had.

They can't heat press some numbers on the back? Weak. I guess getting the players in full gear is enough work at this stage.

Jankowski and Gaudreau should be easy enough to pick out. Sureloss will have to start learning Poirier's skating style lest he be mocked by the CP faithful.

Big JANKO for Jankoski. A SHINK for Poirier. JESUS for Monahan. MEH for Nemisz.
We have a bunch of Penguins #12s to donate if they're short on jerseys too.
