I really hope this is lip service so he doesn't have to feel public shame if he's looked over. Or, saying this so he doesn't jinx it. Burke doesn't strike me as the Feaster type to blab everything. He's like a D Sutter and like Fort Knox. Here's hoping I guess. Boy I'd like Burke managing all our assets right now taking advantage of all these cap trouble teams.

Wouldn't that be nice? My dream come true would have been John Davidson as President of Hockey Operations and Brian Burke as GM.

Maybe he'll still be available when Feaster's list of blunders grows too large for even King and co to overlook.

Except that Burke and KK could not co-exist, unless KK was sidelined to a position unrelated (directly) to the Flames.

It was someone for the front office. I brought this up a couple of days ago in another thread. I posted that KK said he had a bunch of other candidates and they wanted it taken care of well before the season started.

Another poster ( forget who) said he had inside info that Edwards only had Shanahan on his radar and there was no other list like KK suggested.

The season doesn't start for over a month.

I recall hearing on the FAN not too long ago the original plan was to hire a new president before the start of the season so King could focus entirely on the new arena. However the flood caused this plan to fall on the back burner for now.

So I'm not holding my breath for any big changes before the start of the season. But as has been mentioned, there's still a month to go.
