Sorry "FakenHaken" you need to pick again. Hagg is going to the flames with their 28th pick.

Holy crap what a deep draft. I went back and forth between 5 other guys.

Let the polling begin for the flames pick at 22.

At 22 the poll for the Flames' pick will include:

Jason Dickinson
Adam Erne
Josh Morrisey
Curtis Lazar
Valentin Zykov
Andre Burakovsky
Nic Petan
J.T Compher
Zach Fucale
Ryan Hartman
Shea Theodore
Madison Bowey
Mirco Mueller

Anyone missing that should be included in the poll?

Lazar or Hartman IMO. Rest of those guys could easily be had at 28.

At this point some of these guys can go here or all the way down to mid second round. Crazy crazy draft.

Zykov, Lazar, Burakovsky, Hartman, Mueller, Morrissey, Erne all still available and then their is 28th too. My vote is Zykov.

Mock or not, the real draft the Flames are looking to be in excellent shape. If it costs us another one of our 1sts to move up from 6th, I don't do it.

I think Zykov is gone by our 22, but if he's there it'd be nice to get a RWer.

I know we haven't had a 2nd round pick of our own for what seems like forever. Any chance Nashville would swap spots for a 2014 2nd? Or a lower level prospect like Arnold?

Can't believe Erne is still on the board... Burgeoning power forward with great vision & hands. I think he goes mid round, & if he's on the board at 22 that is an absolute steal! Lazar should be gone mid round as well... 2-way goal-scoring centre with a wicked right-handed shot.

We need a top D man & Morrissey looks amazing. Check out the highlights from the U18s. Perhaps his skillset is too similar to Brodie, but with slightly larger size & Calgary roots I'd be very tempted by him at 22. Doubt he's still there at 28.

I'm hoping Compher is there at 28 because he is a competitor, agitator, 2-way centre & mega-skilled. It would be nice to have our own version of Kesler...

Burakovsky is a speedy sniper. Love his game. Probably available at 28.

Zykov is the logical pick here & he's likely to be available at 22. I think it's a realistic pick. Very intelligent kid & driven to improve. Younger than most & fills an organisational need. Only one (very worrying) red flag: skating. He seems like the type of character who could really improve that attribute.

At 22, if Erne or Lazar are there we pounce.

In order of preference (& BPA):

Lazar
Erne
Morrissey
Zykov
Burakovsky

Poll request has been made. Tentative deadline for the poll to close will be Friday at midnight.

Although there are some clear favorites, I do not expect a run away winner like the choice for #6.

Hartman kind of intrigues me. Scouting reports say he plays a two way game and likes to use the body alot. Could maybe see him turning into an agitating forward like a Marchand.

One scouting report about Hartman:

Aggressive, chirps and agitates, plays bigger then his size. Dangerous offensively. Can go overboard at times.
