Sloppy coverage after lost faceoff in their own zone bites the 'Hawks...Carter from Tafoli

A CHI - BOS final would be great hockey.

The Kings offense is just painful to watch right now.

This has been one of the worst playoff games I've ever seen.

'Hawks have been in a 1-2-2 since it went to 4-1... just dump it in dump it out in their own zone

Hawks win 4-2 and lead the series 2-0. Going to be tough for LA to win 4 out of 5 against a great Chicago team.

Handzus looks to be the best deadline pick-up this year, very solid performance for a 4th rounder.

The kings were looking great in the second and third. Couldn't catch up after the two quick goals due to their slow start. They were out of sync at the start of the period and looked a little flat footed. Not sure why they weren't ready to play. I expect to see them win back to back on home ice.

I expect the Kings to do well in game 3...game 4 will be the one that the Blackhawks can steal on their ice.

The Hawks have proven me wrong as i predicted the Kings to win in 5 games. Where can I get some humble pie?

I knew CHI ran into the cap wall after '10 but I was still surprised only 8 players from that team are on this year's roster.

That core of 8 though is extremely talented:
Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, Keith, Seabrook, Bolland, Hjalmarsson.

I haven't been able to watch these games, is Chicago playing that well, or are the Kings playing poorly?

The Hawks are making the Kings play poorly.
Dave Bolland is the Mike Richards to Mike Richards' Kesler.

The Bhawks are cruising along and expect a split in LA. They are wearing down the Kings by bodychecking. Ray Ferraro should keep his mouth shut when it comes to stats. He shoots his mouth off talking about Scotty Bowman's record season with the Habs and gets the numbers wrong.

Many Chicago fans are happy with 7 of those 8 guys...but injuries have taken Bolland short of his potential, which was thought to be as a 2nd line NHL Center. He has slipped down to the 4th line, and likely is 3rd line quality, at best. For 3 years 'Hawk fans have been concerned at the gaping hole in the roster...a #2 Center that can win a draw. For now, Handzus can win a draw, but, is no solution at #2 C going forward. For Bolland, I can see him back at #3 C, next season, as it is unlikely that my guys can afford UFAs Bickell and Stalberg...Shaw back to RW on that line. Bolland struggles in the dot, big time, and that has held him back on a team that needs puck possession. Kruger has been a short term fix at #2 C, at times, and is young, but is also a sub-.500 FO guy.

Roof...3 years running without a clear #2 center going into the seasons. Plugging Sharp or Kane in there last year negatively affected both guy's protential production, and both admit that they prefer Wing. A lot of guys have been plugged into the slot...Handzus has been the best fit, but lacks the speed on the rush, and is not a long-term solution.
Many 'Hawk fans recognize that this team has Championship potential, but, aside from Toews, weakness in the faceoff dot can derail those aspirations. Certainly dominant performace by the Wings on faceoffs helped their puck possession game last round, a round my guys nearly lost.
