Brandon Jones of the Dallas Morning News recalled an exchange between Assistant Director of Player Personnel Tom Ciskowski and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and Director of Player Personnel Stephen Jones during the team's live feed of the "war room" during the first round.
[Head coach Jason] Garrett, at one point, had a blank look across his face as he started rubbing his forehead with his hand. Ciskowski and Stephen Jones also had an animated exchange. It was a rare show of emotion by Ciskowski.
“This was a draft where those moving back weren’t getting near what they should have,” the younger Jones later said. “It’s a real debate about what is more valuable, one player or two players. What you have to come to grips with is the guy you pick at No. 31 and the one you get at No. 74 a better deal than what we would have picked at No 18?”

Good draft so far from the Eagles. First Lane Johnson and now Zach Ertz.

I was surprised that Ertz wasnt picked late in round one last night. I only got to catch 3 Stanford games this year but he was eye-catching in all three of them

Sounds like Arizona swaps with SD and the Chargers will be the home of Manti Teo

And Geno Smith comes off the board as the Jets take him right after Manti Te'o.

Tim Tebow and Geno Smith on the same team

Sanchez must be sick

Edit: I thought Smith wasnt coming to the draft? Or did he grow up

Tank Carradine likely would have been a top 15 before he tore his ACL. The rich just keep getting richer.

Are you ####ing kidding me? Ray Lewis and Ed Reed replaced with Matt Elam and Arthur Brown. I can't wipe the smile off my face.

Christine Michael: Typical Pete Carroll project...maybe the best RB overall in draft, but character issues at Texas A&M dropped him. SEA got a 5th and 6th rounder for dropping a few spots to 60th.

Mathieu agrees to weekly drug test with the Cards. I wonder if the Player's Association will have an issue with that?

Keenan Allen falls to San Diego in the 3 round. Could be really good value there as he recovers from injury.

Saints get a quality O-lineman in the 3rd, then trade back in to the 3rd and pick up a quality D tackle. I'll take it.

Edit: The Chris Ivory trade to the Jets finally went through, Saints get another 4th rounder.

I would have liked him to stay another year at LSU. I'd say he's more of a plugger than a playmaker. More brute strength than skill, etc.

Every see a 335/340 pound man walk on his own hands? Brandon Williams can.
