Good to see the kids stepping up. Maybe the old guard really was getting complacent.

Ben Hanowski has more points than Eberle, Hall, and Hopkins in the last 5 games, combined.

I don't want to start a conspiracy theory, but does anyone else think Hanowski scoring in his first game was just a PR move to justify the return in the Iginla trade?

Worf scores because of PR? Nah. He was in the right place at the right time. I'm sure Feaster is happy that he scored in front of the home crowd--but that's about it.
No conspiracy.

Or Feaster plays it smart and helps some of the teams in cap jail by taking a bad contract off their hands for a first or second round draft pick, then moves his own veterans for picks and gets extra young prospect for the team moving forward.

I have to give the Abbotsford coaching staff some credit. Sven left looking like a beaten puppy and returned looking like a first round pick again.

This isn't wrestling. Maybe Ben "Hammer" Hanowski comes flying off the top rope for the TKO after almost being pinned in your crazy universe, but here on Planet Sane the storylines aren't scripted.

It was a joke. I was making fun of people who said that signing Hanowski was a PR move.
Please don't make me have to use green text.

Well besides Dbag Yakupov, don't most kids who score their first act somewhat normal?

I'm not really a cap/hat kinda guy, but I thought those looked great. I'd pick one up if they had them available.

Entertaining effort and game except the 2nd period was a snoozer.
Hanowski scores in his debut, Sven scores with the goalie pulled that is always exciting to see and rarely happens with the Flames. Lose 4-3 perfect Mission accomplished !
That much closer to a top 3 pick.
