Cervenka wins the faceoff on jackman's goal, gets an assist and gets benched.

Wtf?

I liked Kerr's call for Glencross's goal.

My problem with her is his similar reactions to other, less important goals.

Best game all year? This is the team we thought we'd have at the beginning, now if everyone stays healthy (knock on wood) maybe we can start to get things rolling. Stajan and Bouwmeester need to keep up their confidence if we want to win because it seems to me like the team really pivots around the play of those two (our only real center and our best d-man).

This was probably the biggest game of the year and they pulled it off, I hope they either go on an insane run or tank because finishing 9th again will kill us

If you guys hate Kerr so much you can watch the Fox Sports feed like I do. I actually think the American teams have very good broadcasts compared to Sportsnet and CBC.

This win was because Phx ####ed up defensively in the end and were missing Hanzal and Vrbata. I don't think the Flames should be patting themselves on the back for this one honestly. They didn't play a full 60 minutes as usual and were lucky after mailing in the whole third period to get the win in the end because of some bad defense by the Yotes. 9/10 games the Flames don't tie this up let alone win with how they played most of the period. I hope they realize this and put a LOT of work in at practice. Last thing we need is them to think this kind of effort will fly against teams like Van or Chicago.

coming back to win with 2 minutes is something to be proud of no matter who was on the ice, especially against a goalie like Smith and I'm usually the pessimist. If you can't see the positive in coming back and winning at home in a crucial game then why even watch?

I went back to check what happened. Cammy crossed checked Sullivan at the end knocking him to the ice.

What's embarrassing is people be consider less of a fan because they don't think everything is awesome with a team that is playing poorly, out of the play-offs and has a ton of things wrong with it.
People complain about posters "being negative" or "being a certain crowd" when they post and then post garbage like this when they don't.
Both parties tend to make HUGE leaps in predictions based on a single result. Winning is still always more fun than losing, whether or not that means anything to your "fandom" is tough to say - however if you identify with the team, they still believe in themselves and want to do better and make the playoffs so by enjoying the wins you're more in line with the way the team sees themselves.

The guy who comes in to the PGT and reacts by saying our draft stock is dropping doesn't really have a reason to watch any of the games, does he? If that's his reaction to a win, he would be hoping that the team he supports loses every game wouldn't he? What identifies him as fan then...?

Awesome game.

As much as I hate to admit it, both of Stajan's penalties were good calls. He has to play smarter than that, but overall he still had a good game. I'm still in shock he has taken on such an important role on the team, but I guess it was kind of unavoidable given he is the only centre on the team... get on that Feaster, seriously, this is ridiculous.

Brodie had a few great plays in the last ten minutes. I would have liked to see more of him today, but with Butler and Smith have solid games I guess his ice time was cut.

It's a shame as the Bouw/Gio pairing is coming around, it seems like Wideman is taking a step back.

Baertschi showed some of that creativity in the third. He's also getting his nose a dirty and looks stronger than he was at the beginning of the season.

I wasn't embarrassed, nor should you be. He got emotional, no big deal.

How about the poor officiating or some of the bad bounces?

Sure, the Flames didn't play an incredible game but they found a way to win under pressure with 2 minutes left. I'm proud tonight.

Sure is but that doesn't change the fact the Flames need to see this win for what it was which I am sure Hartley will. Middling teams think that this kind of effort is enough but if they want to make the playoffs this can't be the best game of the season for them because it really wasn't a full effort.

I like Rob Kerr as a broadcaster, but that is besides the point.

Flames win!

I went to the game with my six year old. Great game for him... had to leave after the second, but Iggy and Cammi scoring right before the end of the period was great... and we got home in time to see Iggy and Glencross score.

He is still pretty wound up, and his mom is going to kill me later since he is not going to sleep easy.

I don't know what all of the hate for Comeau. His 5-3 play was fantastic, and although he is offensively challenged, he is a good defensive forward.

Officiating was spot on. The Flames know the rules like every other team. You can't ask them to bend the rules for homers sake.

Well, getting the regulation win was a real bonus after it looked like getting it to OT was going to be impossible. Hopefully Iginla can get going. In 04 the team eas 6-8-2-2 after 18 games. Thats when they got Kiprusoff, and Iginla had like two goals. Hopefully Iginla's heating up, and Kiprusoff is back soon. Although, Joey McDonald finally got the wins in consecutive games thing.
