So happy to see Stajan having the year he's having.

Though I lost it at a party, I actually had a Toronto Stajan jersey

Always been a big fan of the guy, and was pretty happy to see him and White coming over

Nice to see players given a bit of rein to showcase their abilities.

I remember a quote somewhere, Backlund saying that he struggled finding positive energy last season. This season he seems to be playing with a lot more energy and confidence. Makes you wonder if a lot of his inconsistent play last season was due to coaching.

Couldn't resist bumping this.

What a game and good job of you, Ferland & Jones neutralizing the Sedins this entire series. Thank you for that nice pass setting up Ferland's goal that kick-started this comeback and, most of all, thank you for scoring the game-winning goal to eliminate the Canucks once and for all for this playoffs.

You didn't look too great in games 2 & 5, but holy smokes, you came through in the clutch tonight!!!

Well done Matty Stajan! Keep up the good work! We at CP are very happy for you!

Matt Stajan, the Eliminator version of 2015. He'll score the GWG in eli ination against the Ducks.

I've really grown to like Matt Stajan the past 2 years... I think when he decides to hang them up, he has a place in Flames management.

Yeah no kidding, he went from a guy we didn't want on the team to pretty much a hero for the city. He'll always have a home here.

The redemption of Matt Stajan is spectacular, and he's mostly turned it around all by himself. Working hard, never whining, accepting pretty poor assignments and very little ice time while he just kept going to work. This despite being pretty much everyones goat for a number of seasons. He's a hell of a guy and I'm so happy for him having this awesome kind of success! He personifies the #neverquit mantra, and I firmly believe that he is a major reason to why this rebuild is going so well.

He looks like he's been a grinder his whole life, when really he was always expected to be a scorer up til a couple years ago. Kudos to Matt for completely changing his game to fill a role we needed on this team.

Jones, Stajan and Ferland were all plus 5 in the series matching up against the sedins. Were they on the ice for any even strength goals against?

Thank you Matt!

But man, that puck felt like it was just sitting there forever before Matt shot it.

That's cause he waited and picked the corner instead of wildly flinging it at the net. Calm veteran move.

Can we stop with adding freakin to everyone's names? This started with Sven and not only is it played, but it didn't exactly work out

What makes Matt special is his character and attitude. I think he's quietly and behind the scenes become an important part of this team's culture.

He had high expectations when he came here, and has taken the role he's been given without complaint, and come up big in important situations. He's been active in the community and by all accounts active in the dressing room.

Cheers to you Matt, and to you too Emmerson.

Stajan and Ferland were not on the ice for a single goal against of any kind in the series. Jones was on the ice for 1.

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

Remember when Ryan Howse was a top 3 prospect in the organization? "Fun" times.

First player in Flames history whose first career playoff goal was a series winner.

Talk about making it count!
