Final score 4-0 Heat.

Barons with all their 1st round draft talent haven't scored in 6+ periods.

Missed the third star but Taylor was second and Brodie first.

Danis should be third star. He held the Baby Greasers in it.

Very odd that OKC has gone scoreless in 2 straight games.

I guess Justin Shultz isn't the next coming of Bobby Orr after all.

I always like it when we win 4-0 and the other teams goalie gets first star.

Looks to me like the Oil are trying to get in on the Nathan Mckinnon sweepstakes.

What did they say tonight PMM?

Seriously though, I've been really impressed by Taylor the last couple years. I don't think it'll be long until he'll get a two-way offer by a team.

Does anybody expect him to be in the Flames organization if that happens? I mean, with Irving and Ramo, there's not much room in the backup slot, even if Kiprusoff retires/leaves for Finland.

From Oiler's message boards:

Quote:
I honestly cannot even fathom how this team can suck so bad. Somebody needs to start asking the tough questions. I don't give a **** if you were drafted 1st overall or 150th. If you're not putting in 100% effort, get the **** out.
Quote:
Tambellini needs to be fired 4 years ago, along with his mentor KLowe. Imagine, these are the clowns who will be trading this talent soon. Good God, we are the New York Islanders.
Quote:
Also, **** this team, I'm not making another GDT tomorrow, if they're putting in this kind of effort then I'll put in a 1/2 assed effort too.
Quote:
This is embarrassing.
Quote:
Remember when folks were preaching that eventually the pure SKILL level of this Oilers team will take over? It was a bloody lie.
Quote:
Baertshci has looked great! You have yourself a real gem.
He can and maybe as good as Eberle. Luckily for him, he also has a true leader/captain to look up to and take the torch from.
Exiceted to see him progress.
Quote:
There is nowhere to go but up IMO
Quote:
To be fair, the Heat have players like Brodie, Green, Kolanos, Street.

We have RNH, Eberle, Hall, and Schultz.

Not an even match and 4-0 is to be expected.

Wait...Barons are losing?

Nelson, start scanning the Classified ads my friend.
Quote:
**** this. I'm done with this ****** team.
So much fun. Seriously.

Here's another gem that i got form the Flames/Oilers debate group on FB i'm a part of after i posted that we won and Shultz was invisible:

Quote:
If you're celebrating this, I pity you for having to find joy in an AHL win. Shows the state of Flames' hockey.
Quote:
Wow the trash talk in this group sure has gone downhill. Everyone's taking it all personally. Keep crying, Flamers.
The guy's last name is Champion. I am still convinced he was CP's Champion.

Thank goodness nobody does see it here in OKC if this is the norm. This is getting pretty embarrassing, all this NHL talent and they are getting made a fool in the AHL.

After the whole hockey news cover "we pity the fool who has to play against the NHL stacked Barons." I can guarantee you nobody is cringing at the thought of playing us. This team seems full of a bunch of uninterested, soft, and lazy players. I'd gladly take a step down on the talent level to see players who are willing to pay the price to get the job done, not depend on their talent alone.

Just got back from the game, so awesome to see all these Oiler fans make the trip to Abby only to see their team get smacked around. Taylor was sure sharp, I still can't get over how strong Baertschi is on the puck, he's like a fire hydrant. But the best part of the night was seeing some numpty with a Vancouver Canucks "Stanley Cup champions" shirt on, then looking to the ground in shame when some random kid came up to him and said, "nice shirt, to bad that's as close to the cup they'll ever get!" Gold!

I like how Horak just sort of shrugs his shoulders after the Steve Smith goal.

Such is the power of Scorak, he doesn't even need to touch the puck to score any more. He's scoring like a Jedi now.
