The three stand outs for me were undoubtedly Horak, Baertschi and Brodie. They are clearly ready to become everyday NHL players at this point.
For the Canucks, Kassian and Lack were by far the best Wolves on this night. Schroeder simply does not impress me in the slightest, he seems far to selfish with the puck.
I don't think the 6 days off helped the Heat much out of the gate. I think they got some early chances in the first 5 minutes, but from that point until the start of the third, really nothing much was generated by the Heat. Few offensive chances, if any. Taylor really kept this game close for the team.
Horak is downright amazing these last couple of weeks. He's such an underrated prospect in the Flames system.
Here's what pissed me off most tonight: Waiting nearly half an hour for the reporters to finish interviewing the Wolves players so we could get on with the Heat post-game interviews. A little annoying.
Not only that, but hearing Taylor chants, fans booing the Heat shootout guys, and all their jerking off over Kassian. It's enough to make me sick. I know I'm supposed to be media now, but I officially hate covering Heat vs. Wolves games. Worst experience.

- The Heat went 2-4 on the PP tonight, that's 5-13 now on the season. 38% is pretty damn good.
- I wish Kassian wasn't a Canuck because I love the way that guy plays.
- Aliu was good tonight I thought. He has some surprising speed.
- Ward said after the game that Bouma won't be playing tomorrow. Could that mean Eddy or Ferland will play their first games of the season tomorrow?
