I went last night after reserving a 5:15 spot online (the latest available at the time through the web site). The waiting was minimal, but you could tell that it was starting to get busy. If you are able to go during the day, from what I hear, you'll avoid the rush. By the time we came out (just after 6), there was a substantial line that had developed as people started showing up after work.
The whole thing took less than an hour. It is pretty well organized with lots of people directing traffic, good signage, etc. They use the church next door as the place where you start and finish the tour and they have set up a covered walkway between the two buildings.
