You realize he is the backup right? For better or worse, he's the best QB we have in the active lineup.

I realize that yes (and not to keen on the supposed starter we had either) but don't agree that he is the best QB in the line-up. Mitchell may not be better but he can't be much worse and we might as well give him a shot with the crap that Glenn puts out there week after week.

Moon, you keep comparing him to Burris. If you really wana shat on him then compare him to an actual decent QB. No fan of Glenn by an means by he is a better option then Burris, that guy is done.

The Stamps also don't have someone like a Fred Stamps who is a legitimate deep threat - Forzani might develop into one, but he is nowhere near there yet, so Dickenson works with what he has, which is mainly Cornish/Lewis.
There's a reason nobody on the Stamps except Lewis has a 100 yard game this year - none of the other receivers are all that good.

It's his clock management that is infuriating. Twice this year he has cost us the game because we couldn't get 1 first down to kill the clock. When you are 2nd and 2 or 3, with a minute left you don't call a deep bomb down the sideline, especially with Glenn as your QB.
It would have been a 3rd loss against the Roughriders in that OT game but Dressler dropped a 100% catchable ball that would have led the riders to kick an easy last minute field goal.

Isn't Burris second in TDs and first in QB rating this year? With two offensive player of the week awards?
I know stats don't tell the whole story but if Burris is done what does that say about the other QBs in the league?

That's kind of he issue though, the CFL really doesn't have any really good QB's anymore. They all are very streaky, have their flaws, or are on the downside of their career.

Here is the only stat I care about when it comes to Glenn v Burris.
As a starting QB this year:
Glenn = 4 wins
Burris = 3 wins

If identical players and especially defenses I would agree but when Hamilton is losing in large part to its defense and Calgary is winning based on RB and defense not sure wins are that key in comparing the two QBs.

I know Burris is the black Bouwmeester on here, but give me a break.
Head coaches in the league would take Burris over Glenn 10 times out of 10. hahahaha

The Labour Day game you saw the typical Kevin Glenn. Some good, some bad, just average. It's very unlikely the Stamps can win the Grey Cup with him as the starter, realistically the best we can hope for is for one playoff victory. So if a Grey Cup is not really a possibility with Glenn, then I would like to see more Mitchell, until Tate comes back.
I agree that Burris is better than Glenn but it's not by much. They are both very frustrating to watch.

No Dales for the rematch:
Morley Scott @Morley_Scott
Eskimo P Burke Dales injured foot will keep him out of Fridays game. Might be serious enough that he will miss a few more weeks.

I agree best case scenario you have neither as QB but with the state of QBing in the league now Burris ends up as one of the better options out there.
My defense of Burris isn't based on him being so awesome at this point in his career but moreso him being a better option in relation to the other guys out there.
Also agree it would be nice to see what Mitchell has to offer.
