While that is all true, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland all competed with their fellow athletes from the UK this time around. So I see no reason why they can't use musical acts from those nations, as they were all Britain's for 17 days.

However since U2 is from Dublin that would not have worked, but taking performers from the other 3 nations should have been acceptable.

They should have reunited and done Champagne Supernova, because Oasis had the balls to do a 7 minute epic at the Olympics.
