No kidding. Most of these presentations are games that have been out for 4-6 months, and by time the console actually comes out it'll be much more. Not exactly that appealing.

No you don't. Nintendo will tell you how you want to play games and you'll like it. They continue to push crap onto people who don't want it and use dated specs. They need to wake up and listen to what their consumers want.

I think people are overestimating the struggles that Microsoft and Sony had in their presentations.
Microsoft had some new games although they were mostly just sequels of past franchises. Plus I think the Smart Glass stuff was actually pretty good in terms of being able to use the XBox as an entertainment center.
Sony didn't have any new hardware or anything of the sort but they had a bunch of good looking new games especially Beyond and Last Of Us. I think they kinda fell flat with the Vita though and they really needed to provide some support for what truly could be a great system.
Nintendo really had the opportunity to own this E3 since they were the only group that were announcing a new console and they completely fell short. They should have been the strongest of the three but so far they are probably the weakest showing so far.

If the WiiU isn't $200 they're totally screwed imo. They're doing the same exact thing that worked 6 years ago and has been slowly getting worse ever since.

I played Luigi's Mansion quite a bit back when it was released in 2001, and all I have to say is that aesthetically the sequel looks... wow, horrible. Game will probably be perfectly fine (since Nintendo just rinses and repeats formula), but jeez what is wrong with that game graphically.

I think the thing to remember is that Microsoft and Sony both have a large collection of 3rd party titles coming out that make up a big portion of their releases. They can't sit there and show these titles or we'd be seeing the same trailers and announcements multiple times. The big publishers all have their own opportunites to announce games so really all that Sony and Microsoft have is to announce their own excluses and whatever features they're adding. So it really isn't as bad for them as it appears.

All I want with my consoles is games, online similar to Xbox live, and a place to buy arcade games.
That's all I need. I don't need to hook up my damn phone to my console and get updates for games or whatever. I don't need that. I have a damn remote control. That's all I need.
I own consoles to play games.

I think that Microsoft and Sony are kind of mailing it in until the new consoles come out. I'm not sure if it's a case of not caring as new consoles get closer or if they are putting most of their resources into developing the new consoles, I'm hoping it's the later. Nintendo however looks lost, again.
I just really hope Microsoft and Sony are just too busy trying to come up with the best possible consoles instead of not caring.

Not sure why you would be dissapointed with Sony then, they announced some pretty good games. They had 5 new first party exclusives that look pretty good (All Stars, The Last of Us, Beyond, Sly Cooper, God of War), to add to a bunch of good third party games that are coming out in the next year.
If games is what we are ranking on at E3 then the PS3 is clearly the winner so far.
