Mathis is in for JP, and will bat 9th. Rasmus moved up to the 8th spot. That's the only change for the Jays today while Carreno makes his first Major League start.

Didn't get a chance to comment during/after the game yesterday, but what a showing by Morrow! For me, the best thing about that Morrow start is that he clearly was battling his command, in a game such as this last year he wouldn't have been able to keep it together and likely would have imploded at some point. But not yesterday, dude fought through his command issues and continued to use a good mix of pitches, not falling back onto the fastball as he's also been known to do in the past when having problems throwing strikes. Great start!!
Also nice to see Lawrie have a great game at the dish, he was seeing the ball well yesterday.

Yes, I was quite impressed at how Lawrie was able to take the outside pitch the other way - real quality at bats.
And another thing they've brought up a few times on the broadcasts - the Jays' ability to move up 90 ft has been nothing short of great to see. Kelly Johnson tagging up at first on a fly ball to second, Lind and Johnson (I believe), taking second and third on somewhat of a pass ball. These type of plays don't get seen on a scoresheet, but are plays that do lead to what we see in next mornings paper.

I was really impressed last night by Morrow's use of the change and curve ball. He was getting both over repeatedly for strikes. Considering Morrow's usually just a fastball slider guy, that's huge to have now 4 pitches that he can use effectively. This might be the year that his nerd stats line up with his actual stats.

Excited to see what Careno has today. Was hoping Omar would get a start today, but no one really to sit in that infield.

Gotta feel good for carreno after that 7 pitch opening. He is really going right after the indians hitters, probably going to see lots of contact but I love the approach.

Biggest thing to look for with Carreno will be his 2nd time through the lineup. He was an effective arm out of the pen last season but it's a whole other story when you're facing batters twice

The Red Sox are getting destroyed again with that Detroit lineup.

Glad the Jays didn't have to use Perez yesterday. Janssen seems to be the only arm not in play today according to JF.

When Litsch comes back (soon I hope), the bullpen will be even better and Farrell will have more options.

Wish they have the gun working on his pitches...

Litsch with the ability to be a long reliever will go a long way. Jays #5 starter is still very much up in arms right now.

I like him better as a long reliever. It seems to surprise the opposing teams of how consistent Litsch is in that role.

No way he starts, it just remains a question when he returns and there will be 1 less roster spot.
