Sox defeat the Rays 6-4 and go for the four game sweep tomorrow. Another decent start for Doubront and the bats have come alive since returning to Fenway.

Straight outta bankruptcy, the Dodgers are 8-1 to start the season. Although they have most of those wins against the Padres.

^ It's also funny to see the Jays' division standings. It's opposite of what it'll likely end up as.

That offense was to good to be kept down especially with Ortiz hitting the ball this well. The pitching still remains up in the air to me though, that will make or break the Red Sox season

I get to become more involved in the community and Kruk and Kuip better watch out because I’ll be upstairs in the booth, I’ll be announcing games. Maybe win an Emmy.

Willie is a beauty.

San Francisco Giants ‏ @SFGiants
#SFGiants have signed Madison Bumgarner to a 5-year extension through 2017 with options covering 2018 and 2019 seasons.

What does that say for Lincecum? From what I understand, they are kind of taking and wait and see approach with him... This correct Trout?

I think they intend to sign him long-term too. There is no salary cap, and the Giants must be making bucket-loads of $.

Halliaday vs Lincecum tonight.

That game should take about 90 minutes.

Maybe in 2010 it would have but Lincecum is turning into a shadow of his former self. He's on a very scary downwards trend.

Edit: And this was before seeing that the Phillies have already lit him up for 4 runs in the 1st inning

You have to capitalize on Halladay when you get a chance. Going to be a long night now for the Giants one would think.

Have to wonder how much more rope Lincecum gets this season, he's getting beat up out there and that velocity keeps dying with him. Baseball can be a cruel mistress to pitchers very quickly...

Stephen Strasburg is a must watch on MLB TV every time he pitches now. That is turning into a really good Nationals team, and Harper is still waiting to destroy MLB pitching.

If I read correctly today, they won't be having any contract discussions during the season about a contract extension it doesn't sound like. Giants can't be in much of a rush now. I love the Mad Bum signing, Giants are taking a little bit of a risk but saving a lot of money.

It's tragic that Mark Trumbo is sitting on the bench so Torii Hunter, and Vernon Wells can hopelessly try to earn their over inflated pay cheques. I think a lot on sunshine gets blown up my arse when it comes to the Blue Jays, but getting rid of Wells contract was the ultimate get out of jail deal by Anthopolus.

Yay backhanded Jays insults. Damn all the national media writers, scouts, and experts for speaking highly about the Jays. All just sunshine being blown up your arse

The OriLOLes are still destined to finish 5th in the AL East but they sure are hitting for power. Poor Chicago White Sox.....that's one bad baseball team
